Reyna ♔
While various Glee performers or a well-edited Nicki Minaj might top the list of biggest role models or merely the most frequently covered artist of today’s youth, it’s nice to see that some responsible parents are teaching their children the classics. This version of “Rhythm Nation,” by Katlyn Hicks, the littlest Janet Jackson fan we’ve ever seen, is light on lyrics or actual vocals, but the Universal Royalty Televised National Pageant contestant knows a thing or two about stomping. And sure, she might not have the same natural confidence as those British princess Ellen DeGeneres loves so much, but we’re captivated by her demure glances and sheepish grin all the same. At least she’s able to recognize when it’s time for a well earned bow. A small case of stage fright never hurt anyone.
