To be honest, all I wanted were a great album and tour. I'm in love with the album. And I'm hoping to be in love with the show when I go see her. Anything else is just icing on the cake for me. I don't follow a lot of the artists that I used to so maybe that changes my perspective. I didn't even buy Jill's latest and those of y'all know I used to LOVE her. Janet is really the last artist I check for on any consistent basis. 

There's a part of me that's very anxious to see her but an even bigger part of me that's okay with it. Everything about this era just feels different. If this was years ago, I'd be really mad to have not seen her yet but I'm digging her whole approach this time around. It's like she evolved from doing what was expected and did her own thing and maybe because I'm going through my own mini-evolution and things are changing for me, I see it differently.  Or it might just be because we're really the same person.

It was an awesome tour. I really enjoyed it. 

This place/old forum used to cause the craziest fights. Someone may something like "I don't like that outfit" and it would turn into death threats, wishing AIDS, pulling up personal information, etc.  It did help me in the real world since I now work in HR, but this place used to be over the top over dumb stuff.  

And I also think she felt that she was missed. There were quite a few articles of people missing her and it must have gotten back to her. And it's true: the industry isn't as enjoyable without her.

Just from the way she's approached this era, there seems to be a stronger focus from her that I think was missing from the past couple of eras. There were bungled dates and appearances and I think it shook up some of the fans' confidence in her. She hasn't even done an interview yet for this era/movement, and she seems to have it more together. 

Agreed. But the place hasn't even been that active to be that negative.  A few years ago? Yeah, I could definitely understand the complaints and it was a problem. But this place has really toned down.

I'm not shutting it down, as the most commented post in this thread was the decision to keep the forum up.  I understand the negativity complaint, but I don't know a fan forum that is all rainbows and sunshine.  I've never been on one, and when you continually complain about it for literally years, and continue to come back, when there are other forums, people tend to overlook the response when they know what they're going to get.  And some of the people agreeing about the negativity still come here

The best way to shut this board down? Everyone leaving and not coming back.  Then I would shut it down.  Until then, not happening.

When We Oooo was my JAM!  I was so freaking obsessed with that song, I think I needed an exorcism.  But out of the remaining songs on the album, it would've been Come on Get Up.
