Janet Jackson is featured on the cover of the December 2010/January 2011 issue of Instinct Magazine.

The magazine, which is geared toward gay men, sent out the following e-mail to its subscribers this morning along with an image of the upcoming issue:

We're wrapping up the year as only Instinct can, and we're starting things off on a very high note with our exclusive sit down with one of the gay community's fiercest allies (and fiercest divas), Janet Jackson! After three decades of dominating the music world, Ms. Jackson made 2010 the year to really flex her acting muscles—and flex she did!

In "The Quite Power Of A Drama Queen," Janet talks candidly with Instinct's editor in chief Mike Wood about her pair of emotionally charged roles this year, adding "author" to her multi-hyphenate talents and also clues us in on how she sees music fitting in with her growing and critically acclaimed acting career. And of course, being only the fourth female in 13-years to get her own Instinct cover, Janet also opens up about that long-standing connection to the gay community, as well as her commitment to HIV/AIDS advocacy.

As we all mark World AIDS Day, Instinct also examines the confusion surrounding "undetectable" statuses, as well as the medical advances in treatments that have occurred in 2010. Plus, Gay Travel News takes on two very different types of Santas this winter: Santa Fe and Santa Cruz. We also bundle up and head into the woods for our winter fashion feature, "River's Edge." And in Instinct tradition, we also roast the people and moments that made this year one for the record books in our annual "Best & Worst" round-up, plus we've got your shopping covered with our "HoliGay Gift Guide" highlighting our favorite tech, decor and more.

All this, plus a chat with our favorite TV dad, a diva Christmas battle and our exciting announcement of the 2011 AIDS LifeCycle Team Instinct in the December 2010/January 2011 issue of Instinct Magazine—now available in print and in iPad and iPhone versions.

Editor in chief Mike Wood is available to answer questions and to dispense exclusive photos from the December/January cover and fashion shoots.

  2. One thing you can ALWAYS count on: No one is taking anything you say personally. We've generally come to the conclusion that you can't help it. -_-:lmao: And just because I like one song doesn't mean I'm "living through" Willow

I just wanted to know what the song was suggesting. You can stan for Trey all you want, doesn't make me any difference. :coffee:

Little star Willow Smith makes a big impression at American Music Awards

She may be the littlest star to have walked the red carpet at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles last night, but she sure knows how to shine brightly.

The 10-year-old singer and budding fashionista once again proved herself cool beyond her years as she arrived in an edgy grey jumpsuit.

The outfit featured a bizarre yellow shoulder which was belted on, black leather gloves and slouchy boots.

Willow later took to the stage to introduce Justin Bieber's peformance in front of a crowd that included Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, and Pink.

While she may now appear to be something of a seasoned professional in industry, she insists her parents are keeping her in line.

I can't do whatever I want,' said in the in the December issue of W. 'Mommy has to say it's okay.'

She says it was only natural that she follow her famous parents footsteps into showbusiness.

'Mommy and Daddy inspired me to be a performer,' she says.

'I get my flow from Daddy, my singing ability from mommy, and the camera stuff from both.'

She concludes: 'That's just what happens when you hang with the Smiths!'
