Come on Get Up would've been an amazing video... and definitely would've been a number one hit. Never really understood why they didn't just keep the plan to release it.

I wish Janet didn't feel the need to rush through all her hits and take a little time with some of the songs. It's okay to leave out a few of the hits. She'll get them next time! And also pre-film some video interludes for the screens. Damita Jo isn't my favorite album, but for this tour, it would've been cool for her to mix it up a little. Here's my dream Damita Jo setlist
All Nite (Don't Stop)
All For You
Pleasure PrincipleYou Want This
Strawberry Bounce
When I Think of You
Love Will Never DoDamita Jo interlude ("there's a side that I don't hide but may never show...")
Damita Jo
What'll I Do
R&B Junkie
Control/Nasty"you don't have to hold onto the pain..." interlude
Got Til It's Gone
Lonely/I Get Lonely
Together Again (Deeper Remix)I Want You
That's The Way Love Goes
Any Time, Any Place/My Baby/RN1814 Pledge
Rhythm Nation
If
Black CatDoesn't Really Matter
Love Me Just A Little While

I just hope she shot a couple more videos. I really want to see an awesome dance video and now that she's on tour, she won't have time to film, right?
Would be be awesome if she went the Beyoncé route and filmed a video for each song on Unbreakable. (Seems unlikely to me though)

Love that this song includes the line "just can't be casual about casualties"
also, does she mention Rhythm Nation in the last line of the song?
-
Wish she also included a link to the song! I guess we already heard the beginning of the song a while back. (I kind of assumed that snippet was an interlude).
#Conversationsinacafe hashtag is still the big mystery! She's still using it...
-
I remember during the Janet tour (my first time seeing her), she got pretty emotional/cried during Again...but I think that was a scripted part of the show.
-
I know it's been mentioned elsewhere on this forum... but I am a little disappointed in the outfit. I'm sure harem (genie?) pants are comfy, but I feel like her dance moves would look even better in something more sleek. Not to mention, she's in great shape...and those pants aren't super flattering (in my opinion). The preview video for the album cover shoot gave me the impression that she had a lot of looks planned.
Maybe the costumes will evolve as the tour goes on?

I'm so intrigued by the song titles... can. not. wait. to. hear. them.
And I'm hoping for some interludes. I feel like the interludes on her albums are such a personal touch...would be bummed if she didn't have any on Unbreakable.

The New York Times liked the concert!
-
Does anyone have a link to Should've Known Better? I can't find it!
-
But where can we hear it?
-
I feel like it's a fake... just a gut feeling

Jimmy tweeting about mastering the Unbreakable album last night... and used the Conversations in a Cafe hashtag. So confusing!
...unless he was mastering tracks for tour?
-
Figured I'd start a new thread about the two possible album titles. I do think it's interesting that in the GMA clip yesterday, they mentioned that the album is still untitled. And they def got that clip from Janet's camp... so the title might not be set in stone yet?
Unbreakable
Pros: It's an empowering title that reminds me of Control and (unfortunately) Discipline. Hopefully there is a song called "Unbreakable" and it's more on the powerful/inspirational side like "Control" was and not all about sex like "Discipline." Kind of getting the feeling that "No Sleeep" is about as close to the explicit, baby-making songs as we're going to get. (That's fine by me)
Cons: It doesn't feel that original to me. Maybe it's because of that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt show? I don't know.Conversations in a Cafe
Pros: I love how high-concept it could be... like Rhythm Nation or Velvet Rope. I'd love to see Janet get back to tackling some social issues, and her tweets earlier this year made it seem like that's the direction she could take. Even calling this era a "new movement." I love that.
Cons: Maybe the title is a little too polarizing? A little too "out there" for a big comeback moment? (But that's kind of why I think she should do it. Go against the grain!)- 1

Going to wait until I hear the full song before I make my judgment... but I have a feeling this isn't a single. Just a taste for fans... Or a reaction to something.
Yesterday she tweeted about "lots of conversation going on out there..." and then today, posts this song about living her life the way she wants, yada yada. Feels more like a response to something. A statement rather than a single?
Regardless, though, I hope the full song feels more dance-y.

Kind of interesting how she didn't use any hashtags when she dropped the snippet...
-
Yeah, Conversations in a Cafe feels like more a movement to me... talking about real social change, etc. I'll get behind Unbreakable... but it reminds me too much of Discipline.

I bet she has a couple of setlists planned... One pre-album and one post. Beyonce went on tour before her album dropped, but didn't perform any songs from that album until it came out. She added XO to the setlist the day after the surprise album came out. I bet Janet adds songs from Conversations in a Cafe (I hope that's what the album is called... with a song called Unbreakable) once the whole album is released. But I bet she releases a new single (please, a dance jam!) timed to the tour debut. I could see that song and No Sleeep being in the first show... This is all just a guess!
-
ALSO: Looks like she has another song to add to her Janet's Jointz list... hopefully this means a new single is closer than we think?!?!

Looks like he's finally waking up to the power of No Sleeep:

Is she giving us a setlist hint with this playlist?!?! I wouldn't mind these songs (full versions, less melodies this time please) performed on the tour.
(I'm also hoping she opens her show with Miss You Much... would be so awesome to hear her yell "I'm not ashamed to tell the world I MISSED YOU" at the top of the concert)

Appreciate that they mention some deep cuts here (Hello, "Lonely")...and interesting that other songs like "Together Again" didn't make the list.
