  1. My floor at work keeps very light music on the overhead intercom system and I hear "Runaway" nearly every day.

And we have this amazing R&B oldies station in our area that plays her several times a day, especially since she came our way. They play "When I Think of You," "Escapade," and "Love Will Never Do" more than the others and I heard "That's the Way Love Goes" this afternoon.

  2. My list:

    01. Hunnay.

    02. Fantasy.

    03. Vision of Love.

    04. Emotions.

    05. Dreamlover.

    06. Heartbreaker (the remix toooooooooooo).

    07. It's Like Thatchall.

    08. Loverboy.

    09. Through The Rain.

    10. Obsessed.

    11. Triumphant.

    12. Touch My Titty.

I would like "Triumphant" so much more sans... "rappers."

LMAO that scream  amazing how she still has that effect on people

O/T But GOOD GOD i love that freaking british accent. this is why i can't go to that country, i'd be one big ass filthy whore ._.

    :o

  3. She's been "in the studio/writing here and there/feeling out the classic-me-with-a-modern-twist direction she's going to take/looking for a label" for damn near four years now. At this rate she'll be doing the "If" breakdown for Sally Fields' Boniva checks before we get an album.

She is testing our faith sister. Those who can endureth the drought shall bask in showers of her healing light.

  4. I still remember the day FB leaked. Wednesday December 12th. I had gotten out of class, got back to my dorm room and there it was. I can't wait to experience that again. :tear:

If you're still in DC, there's a record store in College Park right off Unversity blvd and Route 1 that has a lot of Janet's vinyls.

omg yesss. I remember finding it on Ali's Blog and flipping my shit. I was closeted at the time and all that cunt-ness was too much for my queer heart to handle.

VA, with the hick folk. :sigh:

  5. You really have to be a fan to understand. I was in the car with my mom and she asked about this Janet phase I'm going thru. I told her it's not a phase it's a lifestyle. :umm: I'm just so ready for Janet to make a return to the scene with a new album. And as I've said before, the next album will be better than the last three, and will rival AFY.

I'm not sure off the top of my head. I have a lot of 12" on my iTunes, but some aren't the actual single, but a 12" remix of the single. I do know DSAC has a 12", along with AFY and YL. I would have to ask my good sis on Facebook who collects vinyls.

Yas! :tear: And yas. It's long overdue. "Feedback" will turn five in a few months...

Some of them I know weren't released as vinyls but others I'm not sure about. I'm five to ten vinyls shy of having all of her singles from 1982 through 2008 and I need to finish.

  6. Kenny, you are such an underrated stan. -_-

I try to tell the kids that "Truth" is Janet's best song lyrically in the last decade. It's even better than some of the stuff from the previous four albums imo. I can't think of a time when Janet has ever been so vulnerable on a song in the past. :tear:

They'll never understand my love for this heaux. -_- Oh while I have you here, do you know which of Janet's singles were never released on 12" vinyl?

Mmmhmm. Aside from "You," I think it's her most personal song too. You know damn well who she's talking about and she's not even trying to hide feelings or make the song appeal to a broader audience. She threw Rene out into the hot ass sun to burn, no tree no shade. And she got paid for every blister.

  7. The uninformed do. Ignorant ass trolls.

But I thought to myself even if all evidence pointed to Rene being the creative lead for Janhova's iconography from 1986 through whenever she golf-clubbed his ass out of her house and wound up the lead story on the nigga news, you can't take the creativity of All for You from her. With or without the filler and confection, its standouts are incredible. "You Ain't Right," "Trust a Try," "Son of a Gun," "Troof," and "Better Days" shit on most of what her peers have put out in the last decade. ...The peers who aren't hiding from Travis the repo man while she gets dicked down on a yacht in Italy. She is more creative than your favs when she's angry or horny enough to express it.

Now the wrath of Janhova is as much a divine perfection as is Her faithfulness, power, and mercy. It must be so, for there is no blemish whatsoever, not the slightest defect in the character of Janhova; yet there would be if ‘wrath’ were absent from Her!

-A.W. Pink, speaking on the only reason why Nación de Ritmo is not her greatest alberm.

(That was for you trying to come for Janhova. again. )

  8. I was reading one of those bullshit comments a few weeks ago about how all of Janet's creative credits belong to Rene, and yesterday I wound up listening to All for You for the first time in ages. I realized that its creative moments stand among Janet's best. I'm starting to think it's underrated.

    "I had a few hits before, now didn't I?"
