  1. Those figures are from Billboard, recorded from purchased tickets through Ticketmaster/Live Nation, not someone on Madonna's team. The fact that you're trying to disprove them with gossip and hearsay is ridiculous.

Madge has flopped in the past and still filled seats, just like Cher and Tina Turner. She's been a monumental touring act since Christopher Columbus ended his World Tour in 1504 and you two will have to deal.

  2. Can we take a minute and rejoice in Janet's epic shade?

"I think what I do, has class to it."

"They shipped it, but it got shipped back."

Matt: You're gonna compete with artists like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, and Shakira. At 40, how much pressure do you feel when you release a new album?

Janet: I don't feel any pressure at all. I've been in the game for 20 years......plus.

"I like the Gaga that sits behind the piano."

    :tear::lmao:

 I still can't believe Janet said this. :lmao:

Her expressions too. I still can't with the Piers Morgan interview.

Whilst a certain old gal stays pressed about a certain new gal

  3. I like how people still try to make excuses for the woman no matter if she has a flop album and not all shows are sold out but when it happened to Janet they talked shit

Who's making excuses? That never happens at a Madonna show, so no excuses needed.

Don't the likes of you get tired of pitting them together? Keep Madonna out of your mind if you don't like her and let them have their own careers. You make it impossible to like one without bashing the other and it's petty as shit.

  4. $80 million with only 1/4 of the shows completed. She still has a month left in Europe and over 45 dates set for the US. And then there are ten shows in South America, which alone banked $52 million on the last tour.

She's going to break her record for a third time.

Exactly. Although I didn't know this show was marketed so differently. Lost in translation, maybe?

I thought 'GB' was confirmed, too. Instead we got 'Turn Off The Radio'. :sigh:

Yep. She must've had a really bad experience or something. But I had to laugh at a comment I read on one of our news sites: "So? Lady Gaga and P!nk own Australia now. We don't want her."-_-

They were definitely playing the "intimate" card, plus her full stage is bigger than the venue itself. They were never getting a full show lol.

Oh I'm still holding on to the false notion that it will succeed "Turn Off the Radio."

lmao. Yeah Gags banked almost $25 million from the four Australian venues alone. Did you see her?

  5. E! reported up to $340 for the "not-even-hourlong show".

Music/image-wise I'm rarely disappointed with Madonna, and I still say this is her best album since AL, but I'm tired of these half-baked eras all for the sake of outselling the previous tour, and I'm tired of only getting one good video per album. I think 'Gang Bang' is wasted as an album track, and I'm over the Gaga/BTW shade. One catty remark was classic Madonna, the second one I just felt embarrassed for her. It's not tongue-in-cheek when you re-hash the joke six months later.

And yes, I'm pissed at the treatment her Aussie fans get. The last time Madonna toured Australia, Lady Gaga was seven years old, nobody had heard of Britney Spears, nobody had ever sent a text message, Michael Jackson had yet to marry Lisa Marie, Jurassic Park was the biggest thing on earth, the cast of Friends were unknowns, and The Velvet Rope was still a good few years away from changing our lives. I'm tired of the excuses, all of which are complete ballsack. If our venues aren't big enough for a Madonna concert then how do U2, Coldplay, and THE FUCKING OLYMPICS manage it without hassle? If it's not cost effective to tour Australia then why does every other well-known act on the planet do it? The bullshit has to end somewhere.

Thanks for letting me vent. I needed that. -_-

I saw that too but I also saw an article that said tickets were $100. All I know is that if I'm going to pay first and last month's rent, two organs and a limb I want the levitating stage blocks and rotating mirrors and tight ropes and motel sets and suspended dancers and flying elephants and what have you. The L'Olympia show was marketed as the opposite of that, as were all of her past intimate gigs, so the joke's on them if they paid full price lmao.

I thought "Gang Bang" was confirmed as a future single? The shade is pathetic, especially the mash-up. :wacko:She could have at least replaced "She's Not Me" with "Some Girls."

There has to be some underlying issue, especially now that her tour figures make up a significant portion of her success. She'd obviously make bank.

  6. There are videos of the audience calling her names and demanding refunds loool.

The show wasn't billed as a full concert, but she still charged up to $340 a ticket. She's lucky all they did was boo.

This is the first time as a Madonna fan I've ever felt like she's not had complete control of herself and her brand. She's fucking up left and right this era, and it seems as if she's lost the sass and good sense she used to combat such failures with. And surprise, surprise, she cancelled the Australian leg of the tour. No reason why. No apology.

    Fuck her.

I heard they were only $100?

I am really loving this era, as far as the music, stage, and visuals go. And I love her fully realized assertions of being the Queen of Pop. What aren't you liking about it (aside from the cancellation -_- )?

  7. I'm petitioning to have Kenny banned from the board. Because my spirit can not take.

I actually have Whoops Now on CD single...I might be able to go to the store and get another one as I saw two there (and well I seem to be the only Janhova fan around here).

I sign this! Those titles were just....I have no words.

We must spread the gospel Bu. She sold out a show here (one of the tour's larger venues no less) and I still know no one who stans for her.

Yeah I've seen a few of the CDs for sale. I'm trying to find all of her singles on vinyl but I'm seeing with the three TVR singles that I'm not going to succeed. Was "Whoops Now" ever released on 12" vinyl?

'When Janhova shall come with shouts of the Rhythm Nation,

And take me to Neverland, what joy shall fill my heart!

Lesser bitches and I shall bow in humble adoration,

And there proclaim, Janhova, how great Thou art!'

        Amen.

  9. Album of the year. She's reading my soul.

"Oh, when I try to love,

I can love the same man in the same bed in the same city,

But not in the same room, it's a pity.

But, oh, it never bothered me before,

Not 'til this guy, what a guy, oh God what a good guy,

And I can't even enjoy him.

'Cause I'm hard, too hard to know.

I don't cry when I'm sad anymore, no no.

    Tears calcify in my tummy,

Fears go inside of my toe.

How can I ask anyone to love me,

When all I do is beg to be left alone?"

  10. Forgive me Janhova, for I have sinned.

I've been riding the Madonna train full-steam lately and have immersed myself her early catalogue, most of which I had only heard once or twice. But I found it to be a healthy lesson in iconography and in all honesty, it made me lose sight of Janhova for a moment.

I don't listen to the album much because it's so sentimental, but I bought a pair of "audiophile" headphones last week and decided to experience TVR on them. Like a virgin, it was like hearing it for the very first time. Madonna may be Queen but Janhova is Goddess. TVR is my everything.

  11. I went to the gym today and I felt fine..

Sis I tried to switch to a light diet of leafy greens and lean fish when I began Phase II of Insanity. It was okay for the first two days, but by mid-week I was having serious difficulties getting through the workouts. By the end of the first week or so, I had bruised and pulled several muscles. So I can imagine what it would do if you were on a detox diet. Not to mention that P90X is harder on the muscles, and you're getting very little to fuel them. It's not the win-win. -_- Why aren't you following the meal plan?

What/how is P90X2 by the way? I just started the original last week and I'm loving it.

  12. Billboard made a last-minute change (*cue Shady with the informative article*) and it actually would've been #9 if not for Whitney, who has re-entered the chart at #7 with IWALY.

But didn't both sales and airplay decrease significantly last week? :/

  13. Because releasing a sex book fresh off the AIDs scare, or cursing incessantly on live television and begging the host to smell your panties, or wearing your tits out to a fashion show, or hey, even flipping the bird in the same vein at your own concert is RLLY classy and appropriate.

I'mma need for her to stop talking shit about everyone. It's starting to look bad.
