Just found this on the net.

Phillip Garrido has been sentenced to a total of 431 years in jail for his role in the kidnap and sex assault of Jaycee Lee Dugard.

The 60-year-old's wife Nancy has been jailed for life, with a minimum of 36 years.

The couple kidnapped Jaycee in 1991 when she was just 11-years old outside her home in South Lake Tahoe, California, and kept her captive for almost two decades.

Garrido, already a parolled sex offender, fathered two children with Jaycee, and pleaded guilty when she was freed in August 2009.

When he kidnapped Jaycee it was only three years after he was released from prison, where he served only 11 years of a 50-year sentence for a rape.

His wife was jailed for between 36 years and life, after a plea bargain with prosecutors and her lawyer, Stephen Tapson, read a statement to the court on her behalf.

He said his client acknowledging that "what she did was evil" that she was sorry and that "words are not enough".

Mr Tapson filed a request asking that Nancy be allowed to see her husband one last time before they start their sentences.

In addition he requested that she be allowed to remain the courtroom for her husband's sentencing. The judge denied both requests.

Jaycee's ordeal in captivity with Garrido and his wife came to light when she was freed almost two years ago, 18 years after she was snatched while walking to a school bus stop.

The Garridos were indicted in October on 18 charges including three counts of kidnapping, six of rape and seven of forced lewd acts upon a child.

They also faced charges of false imprisonment and one count of possession or control of child pornography.

In a deal with prosecutors agreed in April, he pleaded guilty to counts including kidnap, kidnap for the purpose of sex, forcible rape and forcible lewd acts.

And his wife pleaded guilty to kidnap and rape. Both have waived their right to appeal and the state of California has paid Jaycee $20 million in compensation for her suffering.

Jaycee was found alive nearly two years ago in the secret backyard compound of Garrido's home in Antioch, east of San Francisco, where he had imprisoned her.

Since being freed, she has been living at a secret location with her family including her two daughters by Garrido, now 13 and 16.
