You are making a real difference. Incredibly, in less than a week, more than 80,000 Americans have signed that letter. Like you, they do not believe that deficit reduction should be placed on the backs of working families, the elderly, the children, the sick and the poor – as the Republicans propose. They believe that deficit reduction should be about shared sacrifice and that the wealthiest people and largest corporations must also do their part in reducing our debt. Next week, I intend to present this letter to the White House. I would very much like to see us have at least 100,000 names. Could you help? Could you reach out to friends and family and encourage them to sign our letter? Let’s make the president understand that if he stands tall, and does not yield to right-wing extremists, there will be a lot of people behind him.
