LyricalLesson Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 A lot of Missy's fans didn't like "Best, Best" ... but I LOVE it. Always have, always will. But I don't think I have ever loved it as much as I do now. Probably because the landscape of music has changed so drastically in 3.5 short years; nothing really sounds like this anymore. Danja absolutely PUT IT THE F*** DOWN on the beat it takes me to another dimension. Missy's hook is ridiculously addictive. It's hypnotic, haunting even I love her vocally almost as much as I love her flow. Though her flow is a bit monotone and isn't exactly groundbreaking on this track, the way she delivers is entertaining and witty, and those adlibs & background vocals are PERFECT! "Best, Best" has become one of my favorite Missy Elliott tracks ever, and I will never understand why it wasn't wildly successful. Either way, the song goes HARD, the beat is bananas, and Missy kills it as usual..she needs to come back to the game ASAP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
