Kim
Did we ever discuss this tribute album? I just rediscovered it. I didn't really care for it before. lol Some of the arrangements are iffy, but they get an A+ for effort. I can only find a YouTube vid for Control, so this page will have to do: http://www.amazon.com/String-Quartet-Tribute-Janet-Jackson/dp/B000TPTHVY/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1334887465&sr=1-1 Let's Wait Awhile, Every Time and That's the Way Love Goes are gorgeous. Miss You Much reminds me a bit of Kashmir. I have a download link for the album if anyone wants it.
eli's_rhythm
I have Let's Wait Awhile, Control and WITOY on my iPod. LWA is lovely, very stripped and elegant. None of them top the official versions, though, and I usually love string covers.
Mr. Wonder
Some of them are nice, along with the Smooth Jazz All Stars tribute album. But nothing tops Alexander Ethan Gray's smooth sax cover of LWA.
