Well, if Rihanna is still around after 20+ yrs in the industry and people are still interested like they are in Janet and Madonna and Mariah it will be a surprise, which is why I put her in the J.Lo category. Rihanna is doing well, but the point of this all is that her achievements can not be compared to any of the greats.

These days the gurls seem to ba able to do one or the other but not all 3 so lets not even try to pretend they are in the same league as the Divas ever were. At Madonna or Janets peak, if things were as they are today, every single one of Janets songs would have been number one. She would be having about 30.

Exactly! And lets be fair, if Susan Boyle, Eminem, Kanye, Taylor Swift can sell huge amounts of albums then surely the "hottest chicks in the game" should be able to too, but they can't. so obviously they aren't that hot. By albums sales, SuBo is the hottest chick in the game

It is because people buy albums when they can identify with an artist, when they feel like they want to get to know who the artist is (even if its just a sustained image like gaga) - but with Rihanna, people don't care because she is just gimmick after gimmick, which changes album after album. Janet and Madonna changed their images, but because they also wrote their songs there was a consistency there and their albums told a story about where they were in their lives, also they had personality. Wtth Rihanna that isn't the case.
