  1. lol... Janet is famous in most countries in the world.... u think it's really that easy for artists so long in the business? Think that has been proven wrong many times now... Even Madonna couldn't do it anymore... Girl gone wild peaked in the mid 70's in the UK and the lead single didn't even make top 30.... The older u get the harder it get's....
  2. True, But if you look at All the lovers which had soo much prepromo, teasers and TV promo.... it took a while before it hit the 1 million mark... and it's still only at just 7 million. Timebomb is already half way in 5 days... Really think the touring in the US and south america has helped her a lot the last few years... + it might have been a smart move to keep this single a secret until the last moment and just hit it hard... The single is out for 5 days and already charting while radio didn't even have the time to add it to their playlists... This could go either really well and make it a long chart run for the single, or very bad and disappear quickly off the charts...
  3. Chile 41 (second highest entry) http://www.top100chile.blogspot.com/ Spain 20 (second highest entry) http://www.promusicae.es/files/listastonos/top%2050%20canciones%20(publicar)_w21.2012.pdf And it's up to #17 in the UK midweeks (from 31)
  4. don't worry... later in the season she goes from looking like you see her now to 10 years younger & fresher one episode later....
  5. if she releases something catchy and fun, with the key word being fun here she can have ww success easily...
  6. with just 2 days of sales it entered the UK charts at 31
  7. For a Kylie video to hit 1 million youtube hits in 1.5 days is pretty amazing... i don't think any of her video's went this fast and for a song that wasn't announced and a surprise tweet unlock to hit top 10 on itunes in so many countries is pretty shocking.. and especially in the US (she's hoovering around 40 there tho) but amazing nonetheless She's performing the song live on the Voice finale tomorrow in the UK.... That should give it the boost to make it huge the first week if it's a good live performance I like what she's doing now... Her film is getting amazing press in Cannes and she's looking absolutely stunning... This might be career number 3 in the making... The song is annoyingly catchy tho... lol
  8. Before there was a 'new track' greatest hits http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oHIgynH6UQ
  9. Before there was Rock dance Before there were 12"s
  10. Disco remains a dirty word... i was just thinking about all she has done for today's pop & dance culture... There have only been a very few who influenced music like she and moroder did. They were so ahead of their time, so many times... before there was New wave Before there was trance

[photo: Fox] On Tuesday night after the top two "American Idol" show taping, Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth and Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez pretaped a performance of the Donna Summer/Barbra Streisand classic disco duet "Enough Is Enough," which was supposed to air during Wednesday night's "Idol" finale as part of a tribute to recently departed diva Donna. But apparently "Enough" was not enough for "Idol," since the performance never ran. According to tweets Kristin posted on Thursday, the number was scrapped due to time constraints. "Apparently AI ran so late they scraped the whole donna summer tribute bc of time. bummer," Kristen tweeted. "They cut the entire donna summer tribute [song] due to time. There was a great medley with other singers too. " Kristin also retweeted a comment from an irate fan, who said: "Not cool. Time management sucks at AI. You don't do that to Donna Summer and to you." While the male finalists' tribute to another late disco legend, the Bee Gees' Robin Gibb, went on as planned, there were certainly other segments of the finale--like that overlong video tour of Steven Tyler's rock 'n' roll dressing room--that could have been cut instead, if necessary. The other singers that Kristen alluded to on Twitter, who had supposedly been scheduled to appear in the Summer tribute, included Jennifer Holliday (who did sing later with Jessica), Gloria Gaynor, Patti LaBelle, Thelma Houston, Sheila E., and Nelly Furtado, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fox representatives have yet to respond to Yahoo! Music's request for comment on why the performance did not air, or if it will ever be shown (on television or online) at a future date. No photos of the pairing appear on "Idol's" official website, but some have still been posted by fans online. But an observer told THR that the Kristin/Jessica duet was "weak," and another audience member told Yahoo!: "It was great to see Jessica do an upbeat song and I thought she sounded great, but I don't think they blended well, and Kristin seemed a little off." It's possible that the segment was scrapped because the "Idol" powers-that-be thought it didn't show Kristin, Jessica, or Donna in the best light. But I bet it was still better than seeing Steven Tyler hang out with a sloth!
  13. They pre taped the Enough is Enough performance...
  14. appearantly the network cancelled the tribute as they were afraid of time restrains . The family including her husband and daughters were very supportive of this tribute and did everything they can to help. All the Diva's were ready (Chaka was one of her better friends). The producers of AI are furious, but guess that's the way it goes... What a smack in the face again for her family after the BB awards... They found out after they buried Donna yesterday.
  15. i don't know why the Donna tribute was cancelled... It was like it was forbidden to say her name If it was her family stopping this then i think it's something they shouldn't have done jus because it was the day of her funural. We don't want her forgotten but celebrated and on a show like this would have done soo much for her credibility and for the younger audience that know so little about her... I really hope we will know why this had been cancelled and they did d a tribute to the bee gees
  16. Natasha Beddingfield payed her respect and started singing last dance...and just before the fast part started and the audience jumped out of their seats they cut to commercials. It was so fucking disrespectful... and must have been a blow in the face for her family
  17. The Billboard facebook page is ll about the disrespectful tribute they gave Donna.... what a fucking joke was that!! Billboard should post a public appology to her family and fans for this butchering of a tribute And d nothing said about Dick clark either...
  18. What the hell! although his death was bound to happen as he was sick for a very long time already, it's still shocking that all these deaths are happening in such a short time frame... Disco truly officially is dead another one to be remembered tonight... RIP Robin
  19. I just can't believe someone could really do that... Yes we all say it, but somehow we want people to know so they can give us love and show us their support... I always said if i had an illness that has no future i won't tell anyone, not even my family.. why worry them when nothing can be done anyway, but i don't think i actually could... i realy wonder if she knew that she couldn't be saved.. She always said she would sing till her last breath, and she did today was a hard day for me.. It really kicked in and i have been holding back tears all day. the amount of news coverage around the world and the touching comments of stars and her albums on itunes WW comforts me a little, but i just can't believe i will never see her perform again. Last week we were discussing on the donna summer forum if she would be invited to the Whitney tribute and what songs she could really make a meal of... How things can change overnight... I hope there will be some kind of tribute to her as well... She really deserves it
