  1. Things are getting worse, with the combo of summer and the increase in cases out there, people are mad, and acting out. I walk for my own fitness, today I was crossing a street and was well out of the way of anyone, yet this white guy blows his horn, and for the first time I thought to myself my safety could be in danger from some fool out here. Not to make any long story, all I'm saying is this race deal in the country is like a powder keg with a lit fuse, and it's going to explode.

I remember her driving a SUV somewhere, thought it was ATL...when she was on Tyra's show.  But I have been genuinely wondering if she has driven since being in the UK...and I honestly thought she wouldn't! The busy streets and on the reverse side? Hell no! Then again, roads have been much calmer than preCov. Also, she has Lil E so a bigger car for him and all his presents makes sense.

I love driving. Had my last car for a solid 10 years until it broke down last month. She was not worth fixing and I'm not in a position to buy another right now. I do have a new bicycle though, which has been a beautiful experience using. There is a whole new cycling revolution over here at the moment!

we cycling here too, -_-  I see all kinds of stuff now, I dont know what those one wheel skate boards are, but I have seen a ton of people on them, they move fast as hell -_-

I wish... But the upscaling only works if you have a good source material.
I can try, but that LQ leak we have won't look so good 😕 that was compressed and recompressed a few times.
If we could find who owns the original files and leaked it in the first place, maybe it would work better!

thank you so much for cleaning the show up, I hadn't watched it in sooooo long it's nice to see that show again

oh ok.  I talked to my co-worker and he said it is like that, but it's not surprising for the area they are in.

I did some research and Ozark (yes it exists) is a known hub for White Supremacists, the area is accurately portrayed  :coffee:

Damn, my co-worker said it was GOOD.  He didn't add any political or racist comments about the show.

Ozark got better, it was leaning towards some redneck bullshit, but they got better, and the show is really good too so, I watched all of it. I needed a Black character or even a Mexican on the show that was more than "furniture" in a room of white folks :umm:

As someone who JUST got out of the hospital from battling Covid and her respiratory demons for almost a month.....fuck a tour! I'm here to tell you, take this shit seriously.

Its already getting worse. And don't take breathing for granted ever again. I can barely walk to the kitchen without getting winded....I was 6'1, 175-180.....now I'm 6'1 140...shit ain't cute yall.

Worse part is that I have an appetite BUT my taste buds are fucked because of the medicine I'm on. #miserable A bitch really want a lemon pepper wing.

    But seriously....

    Stay safe!

It is real,, it started all about old people, and survival rates being over 90%, until I lost my aunt. Covid-19 is real and they dont have the answers, which, aside from the fact its not leaving, makes things scary.

Glad you recovered heffa -_- I was in here conjuring your spirit telling the drive in concerts to turn on your high beams for this next song..... Don't worry I'm cray -_-

hi everyone, I hope my English is not so bad. Coming back to the subject, I'm not an egoist but I sometimes wonder if Janet is not a little on her side. She does nothing to arouse curiosity around her new record, and her future shows. It gives the impression of making fun of it. And I don't like what happened to her Instagram.I love her but find it boring

As a long time hard core fan, I can try to tell you somethings as I believe them to be and if you add them up it all makes sense:

    1. Janet is a mother, that's her first priority.

    2. Janet's a great legend act and she's done more than many will ever do, having said that her best days are past her now.

    3. Some Janet fans truly expect these long drawn out album promo campaigns with 4 music videos and singles. Refer to #2 :filenails:

    4. Did you know there was a global pandemic? That thing stopped a ton of projects in progress. For example, Janet was making the rounds early this year, she did The View, Jimmy Fallon, announced a new tour with a new album. I don't think Janet's NOT doing when she can be bothered. Speaking of when you've done as much as Janet you've earned the right to do it on your time.

    5. So much got cancelled and pushed back, I saw Wonder Woman promo Doritos bags at Walmart, problem there is WW2 didn't happen :filenails: yesterday I was at the store and looked at the Sunday paper, it was thin as hell, Sunday Newspapers are usually bulky with ads etc. I was told by someone they dont even have a TV guide in them anymore because new shows aren't being rolled out.

    Island Life?! How DARE you!

My comparison would be Love U 4 Life - I wanna love that song so bad 😔 it has all the makings of something great, but the vocals (and a demoesque finish) stop it from being so.

I was speaking musically the song Pillow Talk has some Island Life vibes in sound. As for the vocals, I felt "Pillow Talk"  could use a vocal arrangement akin to that on "Island Life"

the vocals here are not doing it for me at all ✋

the vocals are not doing it for me either, the music sounds good though. It reminds me a bit of "Island Life", a song that echoes the kind of vocals that Janet shine on with a mid-tempo song like "Pillow Talk"

which I've never heard of until now

    come through Questlove :clapping:

It’s a banger for sure.  Love it.  I’m just spoiled when it comes to dance videos because of Janet.  I don’t like to watch non-dancers dance in pop videos.   Can be a little cringey.

I LOVE me some Madonna, and I've played plenty of her lately on my nostalgia 80's binge -_-  BUT watching Madge "dance" is cring worthy to me, and for the exact same reason you mentioned, Janet makes dancing look flawless, well executed in timing and attitude, and effortless     get dat ish Janet :shifty: so watching other pop dance chicks is not the biz :filenails:

Well Gaga has a top 10 hit on her hands, although it fell 4 spots from its previous position on the BB Hot 100

You know what - it helps too to hear you say that.  As much as I want to (and am) stand up for people of colour right now, it is a bit of a minefield because like many white people I don't want to offend.  But it helps to have read things like being told that it's better to say something and get it wrong than to not say anything at all.  It's really encouraging to me that things are actually happening, like Chauvin's charge being increased and the other three officers arrested and charged, but at the same time I'm aware that white people need to be watched at this point, that we don't rest on our laurels because this one thing happened.  After all, the officers who beat Rodney King were all arrested, and they got off because the jury was white.  White people don't get to stop pulling up just because some officers in the latest case were arrested.

What I think I do need to do is find the line between saying stuff all the time and listening to others.  My sister in law messaged me on Insta a couple days ago and told me to 'move on'.  When I asked 'Why?' she said because I have been signed off with anxiety and depression she worries that this issue can have an impact on mental health.  While I understand that, I also understand that moving on is not an option.  It's only my privilege that would allow me to do that.  I cannot.  I could spend hours reading social media posts but have come to realise that a lot of them are making the same point, and it's a point that I DO get.  I do want to keep on top of updates though.

I hope you all don't mind me saying this here, I'm just pouring out some of what's been going through my head the last few days.

as a man of color, many Black and Brown folks know who our allies are and perhaps more importantly who they are not. I get this impression that you feel the burden of carrying this "struggle" on your own shoulders, in that I believe that is not a "struggle" for you to carry. Why should you bare the cross of humanities sins? You are not responsible for the actions of those who happen to look like you.  It's greatly appreciated that you voice concern, and in some ways are part of a new "normal" wherein white folks are speaking up in this moment.

We all, no matter who we are, have to take care of ourselves, because if you don't you're not good to anyone. Take care of you, racism was here before you came and it'll be here after. That said, As others here have voiced, take in only so much of the news, because while its disheartening I believe new cycles can be toxic and desensitizing. Take some time to evaluate what your thoughts are regarding what's occurring and formulate your own ideas about the realities we are in. For example, I cannot recall a white officer ever going to prison for having killed a person of color, not one. So I dont expect much, because the record has given me too many "I know how this movie ends" to warrant expectations.

I will say, interestingly, that I have become acutely aware, even more lately, that I'm a black man. Being a person of color comes with that state of existence an entire litany of "this is just how it will be for you" and we learn to work around or circumvent "unfairness" I must admit even leaving my place to go for a walk to think and clear my head, again, I am very aware of my surroundings, who is present, and my all important go to: ARE THERE OTHER BLACK PEOPLE AROUND!!!!....to a marked degree my anxiety decreases when I see my people, there's strength in numbers, I also fear for my own safety in the event someone ignorant decides I'm the one to steal on in that moment.
