  1. ^ My eyes love what they see!

I'm shocked she did "Loverboy" ~ literally the last single I ever expected her to perform.

The Whitney tribute ("When You Believe") was nice as well, and it was very classy of her to ask the family for permission.

  2. Mariah has tried to help her sister many times, even taking her to rehab but the sister refused, even going as far as stealing money from Mariah. What more can she do? Mariah has simply taken the Janet/Michael approach and kept her distance. I'd spend my money on dog food too because dogs are more loyal than putas and crack addict family members.

Exactly, she's done what she could. Simply showering someone with money doesn't work if the recipient is unable to help themselves.

  3. And it's too bad the 80s survivor kinda fizzled out lol. TBH 1981 and 1982 were two the most boring years of that decade (the best stuff missed the top 5 iyam). Maybe it would've picked up more once we got to 1983 and later, but I'll be in True-You-land if you consider resuming.

    Stankonia's my fav

  4. Chaka's Feel For You is the best kind of cover there could be, it's sooo fucking eclecticly perfect/ It makes the original sound bland to me and the original isn't bland lol. The irony is I feel the same way about Whit's cover of I'm Every Woman.

Yea MC & Sis's version of The Beautiful Ones 'm not much of a fan of unless I'm under the influence of something. It's both not enough & too much. Prince's version is PERFECTION in my eyes.

I don't entirely count Nothin Compares To You as a cover because he created that song for Sinead and covered it himself years later. he did the same thing with Manic Monday for The Bangles (and other songs for other artists.

Agreed. I prefer Whit's version of IEW as well.

Yeah, I was debating whether or not to include NC2U. Since it was originally performed by his project The Family, I thought "close enough" lol. If anything, it's a Prince-project cover.
