I went to '90s night at a club on Friday with some girls, and the highlight of my night was that they played "Together Again." I danced to it--even tried to do some of the choreo --and sang/lipped every word. A few other people next to me knew it, too, which was fun. Also, at my school there are TVs in the dining hall, and they're just there for people to text in music videos that they want to play. They have a handful of Janet videos in the options list and so I put on Rock With U, Feedback and Rhythm Nation (random selection that I thought would get the most kids to watch). Bliss.

I guess Bey will take the R&B categories, but she ain't getting the general awards. Those belong to Adele.

Really fantastic. At the beginning of the BTW era I thought she was losing her voice from promoting/touring so much. Lately, she's really improved. The end kind of slayed me. You can't say this bitch isn't passionate. I don't always love her, but she almost always makes me smile with her performances. And death @ 2:28.

I still don't like it because it implies that either deaf and blind people can hear and see or that deaf and blind people are the only ones with problems in our country. I don't think you have to make it so dramatic. It can just be, "Rhythm Nation 1814 has blossomed as a voice for the everyman in a country where cries for help can usually only be heard from the top."

I played "STCML" and "TTWLG" for some girlfriends in their dorm last weekend since they simply didn't know Janet's music... (Random choices that I thought newbies would enjoy.) Then like an hour later I said "sorry for forcing my music on you guys, I get really into it," and then they were like, "no, we really liked it!" Also, in the dining hall we can text in what songs we want to see played on the TVs. I finally found the website with all the codes on it, and I got "The Pleasure Principle" to play today. I had to leave before I could see it play & get everyone's reactions, though. Finally I can be done texting in "Ray of Light" and "Hold It Against Me."
