I agree with this statement. In the 90s I think MC's register was better than Chante's, plus she could belt from her diaphram. But over the years her voice has not held up the way Chante's has. Today Chante is the stronger vocalist of the two. Mariah is still amazing, just not as good as she use to be. It happens to a lot of great singers. Chaka use to be a beast but her voice has seriously deminished over time. Meanwhile Pattie and Gladys sound as good as they did 30 years ago.

When it comes to whistle register, Minnie was the queen, however, Deniece williams was right behind Minnie and sang background for her. Producers often said it was hard to tell who had the highest voice out the two, so I have to give it to her.

Of todays divas Chante is queen. I love MC and her register was everything in the early 90s. But her voice is not what it use to be. But at her peak in the 90s she was a beast. I still love MC.
