  1. So we've cleared half of 2018, and no new music has been revealed yet.  But we know at least two new songs have been registered.

We also know that 2019 marks the 30th Anniversary of Rhythm Nation, an album which has clearly been at the forefront of Janet's consciousness since she launched the State of the World Tour.

Just wondering... could the upcoming project be some sort of double album?  Like a re-mastered #RN30 with expanded tracks (Skin Game is OBVIOUSLY a great candidate!!) as side one, with side two being new music?

Again I don't have any sources or good information, but it seems like a great idea, and a way to really bridge the gap between current fans, and recruit lots of younger new fans.  It also fits the theme of everything else that has been going on.

    What do y'all think?

    State of the World 2:

What can I say!?!? Janet has never looked so good!! In the last three tours I’ve been to, Janet danced the hardest here! No more reviews of it being a “drag show”... she worked the crowd. I’m so proud of her

Yep, and this is why I said that she's back on the level of her "imperial" tour period (basically the Janet World Tour through All For You Tour).  She was close to it for State of the World part one, but on this tour, Janet is dancing just as hard as the kids, and giving ALL of the attitude.  You can tell she is really here for every moment.

And DAMMN cuz the new single and the documentary haven't even dropped yet.  I'm scared y'all... sis is bout to give us some palpitations!!!!  ???

  3. Yes but even giving us more of songs like Alright and You Want This... it really pumps up the show and makes it feel like more of a party.

I’m gonna say it, and some may disagree, but the energy I saw tonight, that I FELT tonight... this rivals “peak Janet” from the TVR and AFY eras. I mean this tour was absolutely LIT and her and the dancers gave the energy.

And I was at the Dammn Arkansas show. Y’all KNOW East and West Coast she gonna go OFF!!

  4. So I originally bought tickets for both #SOTW Essence Fest and Austin, but had to cancel everything because my Dad is sick and in the hospital. Not sure if i’ll be able to make any of the tour right now.

But just seeing this epic setlist, and video of Janet honoring her father in such a beautiful way, my heart is full, and my spirit is lifted. She’s hands down one of the greatest artists of our time and i’m So thankful to even have existed during her incredible career. She continues to teach, to inspire, to excite and to endure.

Thank you So much Janet. Praying that I will be able to see the show somehow. ?

I had to come to my computer to hear this and not my phone and see what was being said and within what context, what I see is a mother comforting her daughter over feeling like she's not being appreciated for how hard she works. Now the fact The Bodyguard soundtrack outsold Janet. two years later should be some consolation ....my thing again here is why do we (Blacks) have to pit one another against the other? If what Janet does is her thing "let the bitch have it" but dont hate people buy what they enjoy and Janet has remained someone to enjoy for many years after that so it is what it is,  and speaking of class I can only think of one video where Janet speaks even remotely of ill will about another artist and that was Madonna

I couldn't know the true intentions, but like any group of friends, it could also have just been a down moment in their friendship, or just talk.  At the end of the day, the only reason we even care about it now is because it was caught on camera.  But it's probably not a true representation of their whole relationship.

  6. Ah yes... every diva seems to do this.  Though important to note that Whitney herself had nothing negative to say about Janet, she just reacted to what her mother said.  I know at this point, Janet was at her very hottest (just wrapping up the Rhythm Nation era), while Whitney's latest release, while stellar, hadn't brought in the numbers of her previous two albums.  So it doesn't surprise me to hear others throwing shade at the Queen of New Jack Swing during the height of her reign.

Boy hi  Janet sung it by herself and it was on her album. That's like saying "Whitney's last hit was the one she wrote and produced" which we all know she ain't write shit.

And imma take issue with this for a second as well...

Y’all know DAMMN we’ll that if Whitney had come out today, she would’ve been credited as songwriter for ever song she ever touched. Nowadays, you slap one word or one note on the song, and you get a co-writing credit.

Let’s be honest... Whitney “The VOICE” Houston deserved to be credited on her songs. Can’t NOBODY put the sheer emotion and depth that she put on a record to this day.

  8. Tommy Parker (aka Tommy Mclendon, T. Lumpkins) is on this track, and that right there is enough to get me excited. Not only is he a humongous fan of both Jimmy and Terry, but he co-wrote Make Me for Janet, and several of the tracks on Unbreakable. And let’s be honest... if you’re a TRUE fan of Janet’s, you’re probably a true fan of Jimmy and Terry, which means you also know that they are the absolute standard of good will, leadership, respect and setting a good example. They may not have produced that particular track, but I can guarantee you they heard it and gave it their blessing. Tommy is being guided by them, and if Unbreakable is any indication, he’s learned a lot.

  9. Prayers for Joseph Jackson...

    Joe Jackson is dying.

The 89-year-old retired talent manager's son, Jermaine Jackson, claims his dad "does not have long" left to live but banned his family from visiting him after taking a "turn for the worse" earlier this week.

Jermaine, 63, told DailyMail.com: "He's very, very frail, he doesn't have long. The family needs to be by his bedside - that's our only intention in his final days."

Joe has been ill for some time but gave verbal instructions not to allow his family access his medical records or visit him in recent days, but after four frustrating days of negotiations, his wife Katherine Jackson, daughters Rebbie and Joh'Vonnie, and granddaughter Yashi Brown finally saw Joe in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday (19.6.18)”
