Yep I totally agree! I think there has been a plan probably starting since UB tour just get her out there and get the exposure to eventually build her performing repoitire back up to seat bigger venues. But we still have to mention there are only a handful of artist still around from the 80s doing major tours.

I haven't listened to skin game since 93! Somehow it slipped off my radar. I think over the years I forgot it was a SJW song an not a slow Jam based off the name (I know, I'm a bad fan) ? But shout out whoever the musical director has been for the last couple of tours... They have done an amazing job updating the instrumentation of the songs to make them sound fresh and cohesive. Like the '' get on up'' that runs through about 3-4 songs. Small things like that really stand out to me.

Yep I agree that Damn baby didn't translate great on the tour. Maybe they could Funk it up a bit. And I definitely was mad she keeps short changing my all time fav.... IGL It deserves it own time to shine damn it! ?

I think the best song for cross platform appeal at that time was Island Life. Urban/Adult AC weren't gonna touch JALW. What do you think the lead off should have been???

Somewhere within all the songs recorded for DJ is at least a 9/10 Janet album. There were a few really good songs that didn't make the album. DJ lacks a ''it'' song a la RN, AFY, TA... They just dropped the ball majorly on releasing JALW as the lead off.

OMFG....Not too much gets my old ass hyped these days but my favorite artist and one of my favorite artist doing a collab will do just that!!!! Beast Not all collabs between two artist can mesh but there voices and Bruno's old school style these days should come out dope! GTIG easy.. The song, video, vibe of that entry to velvety Rope definitely wasn't I was expecting. I just thought it was a weird. But I wound up really falling in love with the Mellow mix GOT TIL IT'S GONE MELLOW MIX But probably a decade later I've grown to really appreciate the song and the groove section of her tour is what I look forward to the most.
