Maybe Beyoncé had somewhere to be. Maybe JayZ pulled the leash. Maybe she had to put her babies to bed.. Maybe she didn’t pay for the Meet & Greet
Maybe Beyoncé was at the show taking notes and she didn’t want Janet to see em
Point being.. no one cares why she didn’t take photos with a legend. But she did show up and watched and that’s all that matters
lmao this made me laugh
I do wonder if these celebs have to pay, is it complimentary? They have the money, so if they don't pay are they stopped by security or what lol

Not being mobbed, but if Beyoncé walks into a room, she's gonna command attention.
Like someone said, it would make sense that she not try to cause any distractions for Janet and her moment!
So were' supposed to believe after 43 years in the industry, who had the most famous sibling in the world, that Janet cant handle a meet and greet with Beyonce? Someones who's spotlight is very dim in comparison to her own brother?

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but Beyoncé is a bigger star than all of them
She is, but I don't imagine the place being mobbed if she had stayed for a photo. Just my opinion.

I also think the idea that Beyonce would "attract too much attention" over Lil Kim, Kelly, Gabrielle Union, Queen Latifah and everyone else is fake news.

I feel like there’s tension (more so from Janet) between her and Beyonce. They were in the same building back during the hurricane and didn’t take a picture or speak. Janet takes a pic with Kelly (who accompanied b) but not Beyoncé. Just think it’s strange
Beyonce is surrounded by the media hype and I think Janet is passed playing that game. Calling the paps. Planting stories. Selling products. Using the younger famous kids to get their fans. She barely hops on remixes of their hits or force herself onto their platforms like Madonna for example
I also think its weird the media constantly pushes this narrative that Beyonce is supposed to be the next Michael Jackson. I would be weary of it all too if I was Janet. She probably plays it safe because there's either a media agenda there or the fact that we know people will put them against each other.

What was all the chipper about? I wasn't on the boards until the Discipline era.
Was it because Jermaine Dupri? Call On Me sounds like Touch My Body a little bit. I feel either of those songs could of been a cute duet

He has the "accomplishments" but he was never held in high regard like his peers.
There's no need to put accomplishments quotation. Let's be real. They don't have the singing voice, tour success, or record sales (Confessions) as Usher. Stage presence or dancing capabilities. Not to mention he has 9 #1 hot 100s all as the leading artist.

He is in there with Missy, TLC, and Busta when it comes to not getting that Vanguard award. He should have recieved that over a decade ago... easily. And I have never seen a tribute to him. I know us Janet fans go on about her not getting the praise she deserves. But when you look at some of these other artists. They don't get half the praise Janet has gotten. I remember a couple years back. Usher fans were trying to get MTV to do a Icon special for him. The way they did for Janet. It fell on death ears. Also it doesn't help that he had that herpes scandal. My daughters only know him as the guy with the herpes. Everytime I listen to Let it burn...they always burst out laughing. And I can't do shit but laugh with them.
They chose to do a Britney tribute. As if she was doing any better, if not worse than Usher

Usher couldn’t evolve. 90s R&B star who got lucky yet became inconsistent and whose fan base moved on except for a few stragglers who are trapped in the past
Usher is full of toxic masculinity to come out as anything but straight.
How many black male rnb singers have been included in a Superbowl besides Usher?
Just Michael Jackson, Prince, Cee Lo, and Bruno Mars?

Who cares about charts
Y’all would sell Janet down the river to appear on some chart, I swear.
Ciara and Usher don’t have fans.. ask their last album
Who cares about charts but you follow it with critique on Ciara and Ushers last sales

He hasn't been relevant for a good 10, 15 years.
Lets review the last decade...
Here I Stand (2008) - Managed to go Platinum. 5 Million world wide to date
Raymond v Raymond (2010) - Managed to go Platinum. 2 Million world wide to date
Looking 4 Myself (2012) - Managed to go Gold. Flopped world wide.
Hard 2 Love (2016) - Flopped.
But that's only for the last decade. Ushers been on the scene since 1994. His career spans two generations. Out of all the Michael Jackson clones he can actually sing, and he bridged the gap between King of Pop and R Kelly King of RnB. Chris Brown and Justin Bieber do a lot of what Usher has done already.
Surely you must agree a 25 year long career warrants some sort of merit?

We haven't talked about Usher lately. Why hasn't he received the Vanguard award? Why hasn't there been an Usher award show tribute? Why was Jlo, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake chosen first?

Say what you want about Feedback and the Discipline album, but that is the song that put Janet back on the charts.
Usher fans and Ciara fans have been nothing but civil with Janet fans and you all will deal.

I think about two months ago in an interview. It's very silent right now, which is a good sign. It's coming, although some believe it's not going to be released until 2020 (so Janet can have #1 albums in five consecutive decades).
I'm here for 2020 certifications

I want to note his emails indicate that he only started writing his book (that he denied trying to do) after he was denied jobs with MJ's company, and only used the threat of said books (that were so badly done later nobody would pick them up after trying to shop them around for a while, which has to be REALLY crappy cause it's so easy to get a book out on MJ) to attempt to blackmail the estate into paying him, but they don't want you to know that....too bad that was brought up in court.
Problem is too, he was looking for and citing every TABLOID article that even his family in his emails denied being true or credible....but he still cited them, very telling.
They're liars because they've been proven to have lied and fabricated/edited tons in their stories on this subject SINCE coming out, not even to do with their memory of their childhood, of their memory of what they said 2-4yrs ago, they're trash.
He asked his mother in the email if the tabloid story really happened. She said no, yet he still included it
