Omg haha. And I thought mine were bad😂😂

I never heard "Luv Me Luv Me" until a week ago...

I still mishear lyrics. Like in Control, I always thought she said "Come here Lewis" when she actually said "career moves". My mind was blown when i found out😭

I still play Luv Me Luv Me in the clubs 😮 u tripping lol.

  2. What's your worst crime as a Janet fan? I'm afraid to say mines 😥🤐

  3. 2009 VMA I was with a friends watching it live and when Scream started, everyone was cheering, but I wasn't cheering yet. It was Michael's verse and she wasn't on stage yet. People were like "where's Janet". I said "because it's not my girls part yet". Then I struck a pose in the living room at the same time the glass shattered lol. All you heard was "Ohhhhhh shit", and Janet strutted out

I remember this song getting massive airplay when Chingy’s second album dropped. All of a sudden, stations just abruptly stopped playing it. I’m sure Les Moonves/Nipplegate blacklist had everything to do with this. Could’ve been a hot 100 number 1 hit.

For some reason I always thought this was a 90s record not Damita Jo era

When it comes to skills and dancing ability these dancers are some of Janet’s best dancers in a very long time...the PROBLEM is not the dancers it’s the choreography that tends to be tailored to a toned down Janet.

If we’re gonna be honest, ASIDE from the energy of SOTW, Janet’s choreo hasn’t been as detailed. A lot of arms & hand movements & strutting…etc.

Go look up each of her dancers on YouTube in the dance studios. Allison doing Anaconda, & another Nicki song. The girl with the short hair on an August Alsina song. There’s quite a few. They have more ability than Janet’s recent choreo has called for.

so we gonna act like Feedback on SOTW didn't slay?

And isn't that what the new generation likes? "Hair-ography" or whatever they call it. Instagram poses on stage. Can't blame Janet for staying relevant.

Choreography doesn't seem to be relevant in the industry anymore. People just want to "turn up" and "twerk". All your Jlo's, Paula, Usher, Jason Derulo, NeYo, etc big dance numbers seems like a dying trend. Ciara has been struggling and she's one of the best stage dancers of this generation, yet people seem lost or confused when watching a broadway-esque style number. Even Chris Brown traded in his big set pieces to become a rapper. It's really sad. Tinashe was another new artist that people paid dust on stage. Yet these are all phenomenal performers, but people rather attend a Cardi B concert or whatever while Missy and her dancers receive credit 20 years late

I would agree with you but Janet's career has not been the same after 2004. She made several efforts to get back on the charts globally but it just never happened. There is no budget for big shows and visuals. Rock Witchu Tour proved that she couldn't break even with a big production show. Then all that stuff with Wissam, having a baby etc.. Her mind isn't exactly at breaking records right now. She's still changing things up on tour, performing songs we never thought she would. Her wardrobe has been very wtf since the new tour started but that's just what it is. Made for Now was a step in the right direction, meaning she finally stopped catering for a handful of old skool fans and went with current sounding music instead. Ask Cinq and their amateur team why it never took off. And yeah her age plays a huge role in this as well. She can't hit those high notes anymore (she said this herself in an interview), and she obviously cannot dance like 20 years ago.

We can all agree we were left thirsty for huge success and global tour after her career took a fall. But it's time to move on now. It's not gonna happen. Back in 2009 it could've been possible but she left and disappeared and that alone alienated European fan base. Her team has been working overtime to try to remind people of who Janet Jackson is. And they've had success doing so. But how many times are you gonna rely on Control and Rhythm Nation? In 1998 Together Again was the second biggest single in the world. Nowadays casual music listeners don't even remember that track and radio hasn't played it for a decade. And that was her most successful single to date.

It's time to move on from the illusion of her somehow going back in time to 2010 and reclaiming her throne. It just isn't going to happen. I love every single show, and song she puts out. I appreciate and will always cherish each Era. But those times are long gone. Comparing her to Madonna, who still has global appeal and success while on tour is silly. Janet does not have the same appeal anymore. Half of music listeners don't even remember her. Everyone knows who Madonna is and her team has kept her legacy alive and going. Janet's team is only now trying to remind people of who she is.

IMHO the only thing I'd change is the short edits of AFY and Together Again. Especially, when performing at award shows. One or the other should be performed fully, and that would def have a bigger impact than doing a 30sec recap of both.

One difference I will say Janet has over Madonna is that Janet's influence lives on in younger artists more than they cite Madonna as a influence. There have been way more tributes, shout outs, and interviews from next gen artists for Janet.

I know you are not saying SOTW is one of Janets best tours ever are you? Am I reading this right??????????

U really putting words in people's mouth today lol. We're talking about "modern day" Janet. Roughly 2006 forward. Those were the two best tours from this past decade

man please! Janet did the damn thang and the crowd loved it as well as viewers at home. You got a big stage then use as much of it as you can. Why you think Madonnasaur and Beyonce be selling out? Production.

what works for them doesnt work for everyone. it was messy. the superbowl was better organized for janet

Number Ones is her most forgettable tour. And Sotw was even more basic than Unbreakable...so whats your point?

Of course ppl are still going to go see Janet regardless but thats not the argument here. Stay on subject.

i think its just the times we're in now where production is more important than talent lol. I know that's not what you're saying but this generation is shallow.

Billboard 2006 was the perfect balance in my opinion

boy wtf you talking about? Her billboard performance barely had production. All she had was the video screen when she first popped out and then that was it. She slayed the stage

Janet slayed but the stage design and over crowded amount of dancers was wack and took away from the performance. I consider all that to be part of production

I can understand the production value being a big component, but I also feel that big production without the performance value can just be a distraction.

Her performance during SOTW was at an all time high.

I have to agree. From choreography to costume changes Janet slayed SOTW. I can watch her beginning to end and get my life. Bigger production doesn't always mean better. Her Billboard performance showed that too much production can be a waste and distraction.

Weed maybe once a month now....use to smoke it every day up until 2010 as soon as I would get home from work and over the weekends. Loved it for sex...it automatically makes me horny loved smoking a joint before hitting the dance floor too. Now it makes me think too much and I get deeply paranoid.

Ecstasy...geesh maybe 20 times back in my clubbing days. I would dance for a good 6 hours whenever I would go to an after hours event or Coachella before it was a celebrity haven filled with advertisers everywhere. Haven't touched it since 2006. The best X I had was in Spain...pure MDNA in powder form. The strongest and cleanest experience ever.

Cocaine...I had a love/hate relationship with it. Did it lot when I worked with these Austalians at my second agency. They loved it!!!  Haven't touched it since 2006.

Alcohol...only in social settings or in a bar. Can't drink anymore as it keeps me up at night. I miss a good bottle of wine.

    Acid...3 times.

Mushrooms...4 times. Love mushrooms! It's a very therapeutic drug that allows me to purge all toxic thoughts. After the effects wear off I go to sleep and wake up feeling centered and completely in sync with my body and soul.

Meth....once by accident as I thought it was cocaine. It was awful.

    GHB....once and it was good.

K....that shit is crazy. K holes were hilarious. 😂😂😂

Any hardcore drugs never again. Maybe mushrooms some time in the near future as I need a good purge.

a whole lot of facts as to why i dont smoke as much
