  1. I find it interesting that "Crave" only has 2.4 million views on YT now after a week. I thought it'd have more by now. Having Swae as a featured artist didn't translate into having his fans watch the video in droves. I wonder if she'll give us more audios of the songs on this album. I wanna hear "Extreme Occident" just because it sounds kinda pretentious, although I like the title.

  2. I'm gonna say that "Feedback" wins on just about every level. I can see someone preferring "Dammn Baby" over "Feedback" as a song, but on every other category the former loses. "Feedback" might have been a video on the cheesy side, but at least it had a budget and there was effort put into it. FB also had much better choreo than DB. I watched the DB video once and had no interest in seeing it again: there was no theme, the choreo was underwhelming, the costumes were... not it. I disliked the video so much that I stopped listening to DB as a song.

FB rejuvenated Janet in the mainstream a bit when it dropped in late '07. It really should have been a #1 TBH. At least a top 10 on the Hot 100.

  3. The video for Crave didn't do very much for me. I still wanna hold out hope and see what happens with this album. I was hoping that by this point Madonna would give up on trying to appeal to radio by working with current artists when the radio will not play her songs regardless. I wanna listen to the whole album and see if there's some sort of overarching theme with this everywoman persona Madame X appears to be. I think what disappoints me most about this era thus far is that she didn't go all dark with her hair like she teased. She only wore a wig for select shots. She looks much better as a brunette and it would be a nice change of pace from the blonde, which has become tiring to me.

MDNA had some good bops and better direction. 'Im Addicted' goes awf!!! 'Gang Bang' is deliciously inappropriate. 'Girl Gone Wild' was fun and 'Falling Free' was beautiful.

but I agree, Hard Candy was her first attempt to remain relevant with all those flavor or the month artists and producers and Rebel Heart was disappointing except 'Devil Pray'.

this new album is gonna be a blow to her ego, I just hope the people around her are being honest.   Hopefully she is at the point where she just likes to make music for her fans but that's hard to say when she collaborates with Quavo and Sway Lee -_-

YES at those MDNA choices. I liked all of those ones, although I don't remember Falling Free. As for this album being a blow to her ego, you may have a point there. I don't think the singles have charted at all on the BB Hot 100. Rebel Heart was very close to having this fate until she released "Bitch, I'm Madonna" which peaked in the 80s. I wonder how she'll stage this theatre tour. She might have been giving us slight hints of what she may do with her Tears of a Clown mini show during the RH era.

  4. Crave isn't really doing anything for me. I thought she was gonna do something with I Rise, but she probably figured that a song with a hip rapper would do better with the public. I'm still wondering what exactly Madame X's overall theme will be. It seems like this alter ego is supposed to be an 'everywoman.'

This Maluna track featuring Madino x  is a mess. It really goes nowhere. Sounds as generic as every single Latin influence pop song the clubs have been playing over here.

Its amazing how Madonster comes up with a themed deep album to serve THAT as the lead single 💩

Even Living For Gloves is better than this ish.

Edit: I meant Gimme All Your Relevancy

    That made me chuckle.

I'm kinda excited about this album. Hopefully this one will be better than her last 3. The standard cover looks better with her dark hair. I was hoping she'd go all dark this era, but it seems like she'll be sticking to blonde and using black wigs here and there. Oh well. "God Control," "Dark Ballet," and "Extreme Occident" sound like they could be interesting.

  6. The song to skip on TVR is definitely "Tonight's the Night," not "Every Time."

    My ranking:

    1. Rhythm Nation 1814 (Lonely, Miss You Much, Someday is Tonight)
    2. Velvet Rope (You, Anything, My Need)
    3. Control (FHTF, Control, PP)
    4. janet. (WAYN, If, Throb)
    5. Unbreakable (Unbreakable, Night, Black Eagle)
    6. All For You (AFY, STCML, TaT)
    7. Damita Jo (ANDS, Moist, Slolove)
    8. Janet Jackson (Say You Do, Love and My Best Friend, Young Love)
    9. Discipline (FB, Can't B Good, RWY)
    10. 20YO (Daybreak, Take Care, Enjoy)
    11. Dream Street

Yes.. I know how the settlement worked. All parties agreed on the settlement. So everyone is happy yet an abuser gets off scotch free due to his fame and $$$

    Fun fact

Yes Evan did and it was dismissed.. most frivolous lawsuits were dismissed or Jackson won. Doesn’t mean he didn’t touch little boys

Child molestation is very difficult to prove to begin with as putting that up against the most powerful person in that County... I’m not surprised

A good way to prove something untoward happened between MJ and Jordan Chandler would be if Jordan could describe MJ's private parts. He was asked to draw them and they were compared to MJ's photos during the Grand Juries (they didn't match). If they had matched, MJ would have been arrested/indicted on the spot.

I really don't think MJ would have been powerful enough to avoid an indictment in '93 if those photos had matched. There would have been no way out of an indictment if those photos matched Chandler's description.

It was one case. He payed that first family off... or someone did on his behalf.. that’s guil— that speaks loudly

That '93 settlement with the Chandlers is always removed from its whole context. It's important to note that the settlement was very clear there was no wrongdoing. While you could view this as just Mj saving face, what's even more important is the fact that the settlement didn't stop the criminal investigation from continuing. So no, that settlement didn't just make everything go away. The Chandler family was suing MJ and they wanted the civil case to go before the criminal one. That would be unfair to MJ because a civil case would bias a jury in the event of a criminal one. I'm not sure if you know this, but after the '93 settlement the laws changed so that the civil case could not precede the criminal case.

Also, the settlement didn't stop the Chandlers from testifying against MJ or coming after him again. In fact, Evan Chandler tried to sue MJ again later on in the 90s, although this suit was dismissed, to my knowledge.

What should be of the utmost importance here is that MJ faced 2 Grand Juries in '93 and neither indicted him. There was no evidence.

  9. ^^^ He could very easily be as credible as Wade and James. It wouldn't be the first time someone claimed to be molested by MJ only for the entire thing to be a hoax. Here's an example:

This accuser made a very graphic allegation with drawings of MJ's home, his face during the so-called abuse, and he stayed consistent. The police even got involved... only for it to not be true. Situations like this is another reason why it's not smart to just accept what these people are saying just because it sounds graphic and sad, especially when we know they've been contradicting themselves. Not only is MJ dead, he has also been lied about in very serious ways as the video shows.

  10. I'm expecting her to perform every song off the Rhythm Nation album. I hope we don't just get short versions of all these songs. "Alright" needs to be done in full with proper costumes to go with the song. I'd actually like her to go from "Alright" to "Funky Big Band" because I think that the golden age era of Hollywood that "Alright" pays tribute to would go well with "FBB".

I'd also like Free Xone to be incorporated somehow. I know that doing the song may not work because it's more spoken word, but I'd like its instrumental to be placed somewhere in the show. Maybe they could mix it with Rhythm Nation.

  11. I really hope they're giving Janet the funding to do a big show. Vegas NEEDS pyro and some special effects at least. The costumes need to be better; I noticed that she didn't bother changing outfits for Japan, which felt odd to me. She wore that one jumpsuit for the whole show... I hope the back-up dancers get good costumes down. I get that Janet is trying to keep costs down because she doesn't get major funding anymore, but with Vegas I'd assume the budget would be bigger.

I hope this isn't too similar to SOTW.

  12. Wade has already been making money off this. The MJ stans have actually found the auction house he sold his MJ memorabilia to. During his lawsuit against the estate, he was asked about the items he sold and said that he made around $6-8K off everything, but one item that's been found on this auction house's website (the "Bad" gloves, I believe) sold for over $30,000, if I remember correctly. If the MJ stans' source holds up, that'll be another detail Wade was lying about in court.

The implication of this also applies to the documentary as apparently there's a scene where Wade is burning MJ memorabilia. If he sold his collection of MJ stuff, then the authenticity of the items he supposedly burns in the doc should be questioned.
