No wonder!  :sigh:  you just a newbie and you scared....Im taking my advice back because before you know it you'll feel comfortable having sex, and you in Toronto so the pickings are really ripe....  chile :umm:

I'm ready to f***. I just wanna make sure I don't get beaten, robbed or killed in the process. I can be kinda paranoid and I don't wanna be the person who hooks up with someone and goes missing, which has happened to gay men in the past. I hope to get with someone before the end of this year. Does Grindr/Jack'd alert people in your phone's contact list or the people who follow you on social media that you have an account with them? Which of the two dating apps is better? (I'm using a Galaxy S4, if that matters)

You can’t take it back

You’re young af.. you’re range should go to 29 at least.

29... I could see that happening. An older guy could be better because he's more experienced.

I’m not sure why you’re quoting the celibate member who can’t get any instead of the fit, black male who got dick weekly from hook ups

Those expectations are limited and will only cause disappointment. Why the age range? What’s the point?

You can’t have a relationship in the closet. It doesn’t work

No. It’s two grown men wanting to get their nuts drained.

    i have too many bests

worst: recently (last year before I entered a relationship) this old man came over who thought I catfished him... didn’t know I was black 0_o he acted weird about it. I came next to him watching porn, he didn’t cum. I kicked him out afterwards

I think I specified age range because I'm young and feel that I don't want someone too old. However, I guess that if they looked good at an older age then it shouldn't matter. If it's just a hook-up then personality shouldn't matter too much, right? Was there anything else about my description that was too limiting?

And Bailey, I'd get with a top or bottom at this point.

  3. Ugh, I'm so sorry for derailing this thread and making it all about me. So, what would be the best and worst hook-up(s) y'all have ever had, whether on Grindr/Jack'd or any other means?

most dudes on sex apps want.......wait for it     SEX....they not looking to rob you or anything else. Well let's start with what kinda guy you looking for and what would feel comfortable to you? I mean never having sex ever ever?  I mean back in the day I got it in :yep:

I'm looking for a Black gay from 20-25 years old who is in decent shape, is cute, has a nice personality, a bit more on the masculine side, and is OK with me being DL for the time being.

Again, I would like a relationship with one guy, but if hook ups become necessary I might indulge. It's just about making sure I have "control" of the situation and don't end up in a terrible situation because I trusted the wrong guy.

In all seriousness though, y'all ain't scared that some of the people you're hooking up with may have bad intentions? I mean, if you talk to them for a while and meet in public, you have less to worry about, but still...

You can find substantial relations on apps. You just have to be “in control” of the situation

You won’t find a substantial relationship in a club/bar like others have suggested.

How can I be in control of the situation? Do you mean I should control how much info they know about me, and how they can reach me in real life?

When are y'all willing to go to a guy's house for a hook-up, or let him in your house? Does it take talking for a few days/weeks/months, or are you willing to meet a guy within hours of speaking to him?

Are you looking for sex or something substantial?

    a few tips on Grindr:

    1) Meet in public

    2) let someone know where you gonna be (find my friends on the iPhone)

    3) no need to rush.. tho there’s always hookups, you don’t need to jump all in or not at all.

3b) get to know someone by chatting with them over the app then in text then in person if it gets that fair

3c) if it doesn’t get that far, that’s okay too! Keep trying and you’ll have sexual relations in no time

I want sex with someone substantial to me, but if I need to, I'll hookup.

you should try non-sexual avenues like clubs or group activities to join, Im sure in Toronto there are plenty

Yes, I recently met with a school counselor who recommended some drop-in groups. One is centred on Black queer youth in Toronto. Maybe I'll try that.

Im judging, cause if you aint getting it in there :umm:

I'm not being active enough in my search. No Grindr, or Jack'd. I don't go to gay clubs or bars. Only one of my friends knows I'm gay. IDK how to find gays in my everyday life. I don't even think I have a gaydar.

  8. I haven't been sexually active with any guy, excepting the times I would kiss a classmate in grade 2, and I'm getting so sexually frustrated. I'm trying to get my b**** licked, but I'm not sure where to go to find men in Toronto. I know there's Grindr and stuff, but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable hooking up with randoms at their house. (What if I get robbed, beaten or killed?) Staying closeted is hard work.

  9. It would have been best for Janet to work with Pharrell around 2006. I heard that he was going to be one of the producers on 20YO, but Jermaine came in an took control (don't quote me on this exactly). I wonder how well their styles could work together now. Pharrell still has something to offer, I think, and I tend to like the songs he works on.

I have one brother two years younger than me at 41, who hasn't had a job in over 15 years, lives with mom, and barely finished high school, I would prefer he not breed. :fail:

Why hasn't your brother been productive in 15 years, if you don't mind my asking?

  11. I feel like the biggest issue with whatever Wade will say in this documentary is that he already tried to sue MJ's estate and his case was thrown out due to lack of evidence (it also seemed inconsistent from some of the court documents I've seen online). When your case has already been thrown out in court there's reason to believe that he may repeat things that were debunked during his legal fights with the estate.

  12. I didn't know there was that much drama going on behind the scenes of the AFY tour. I knew that Janet and Shawnette had some sort of falling out, but I never knew Gil might have been part of this. It's too bad she stepped down from the top position because I think we could have gotten a lot of great stuff from her if she was at the helm longer. The AFY tour is kinda disappointing to watch after the VR tour unfortunately. The whimsical medley was tired at that point.

It's also too bad that Mariah's Glitter situation impacted the AFY era. I think having "Come On Get Up" released as a single was the right choice since the song is so poppy and upbeat. I think that if it got more push and a nice video (maybe in Hawaii or some other island locale) it could have been a bigger hit.

Well she's made progress way before this. It's just Paula's dancing was different. Janet's a bad bitch and she been had confidence doing things like pirouettes way before Paula stepped in. Check this clip out. Miss Jackson been had skill. Look at those spins

Wow. I've never seen this clip before. Janet looked really good here. I sometimes wonder what type of dancer Janet would be now if she did more ballet style dances for her routines. I think I remember her saying in a DJ era interview that she did some ballet training at some point, but I can't remember exactly what she said.
