  1. But she lives or spends a lot of time in an Arabic country and has clearly picked up the lingo whether she's a Christian/Muslim/Jew/Hindu or whatever. Hell, I use local lingo whenever I go on holiday and that's only for a few days so why is it hard for you people to understand that someone that has moved there would start speaking the language? It's simple logic. Am I French now because I can speak French? Am I a Jew because I know some Hebrew? I'm learning Spanish now but that doesn't make me Dora the Explorer, does it?

lol! People don't choose to say a random cultural phrase to a totally different culture audience. janet has been saying inshallah to American audiences deliberately. She is Muslim. She's not saying it for cultural reasons because she's been holidaying in the Middle East lol

  2. Many ignorant Americans are xenophobic, homophobic, and/or racist sooo guess you're not saying much

You THINK she converted based on your ignorance towards language :)

Your the one that's being ignorant towards use of language. How many Christian African Americans do you know that go around using 'Allah' as their term for god. They say 'Lord' or 'God'. Yes 'Allah' is an Arabic word but in the west it is an Muslim term.

  3. Zzzz. Boring!

If this is about janet. I don't know what your point is. most Americans don't go around using the term inshallah unless they are Muslim. Janet clearly had converted. Big whoop. That's het choice, no matter how loopy I personally might think it is...its the end of discussion.

I'm really getting sick of hearing about Muslims, Arabs, and the Middle east. Every day it's on the news.

    Can we move on.

  4. she is an actress!! Lol and those "rumors" about her crying.....merely rumors.. The point was to get people to talk, but not in a bashing way... It backfired, plain and simple.. Even Justin admitted the idea wasn't thought out carefully and it was dumb...

so wait, let me get this right, you are actually claiming that janet acted her look of shock AFTER the lights went out? You are actually telling me janet is that manipulative?

give it up man. That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard.

  5. SHEEEEEPPPP OMFG SHEEEEEEP

ok so assuming the theory that it was a stunt, you post a photo to prove it but please explain to me the look on Janet's face. That look is not one of "haha it worked", it's a look of "shit, what just happened". And then there was the photos of her being taken away in a towel and the rumours from dancers she was seen crying back stage. Explain please?

I suppose she put saline in her eyes to fake cry and the shocked looks was acting even though the lights were already off?? Lol

  6. I think Game auditioned for the MJ's Jam video and didn't make the cut.  He still mad -_-

MJ fans are special though.  I can say we argue back and forth but I dont think any of us are mental.

SMH. They have alot of crazy laws.  If she likes the man she is with now fine but I dont get how you can be one of the most empowering women in music and know this is what he is about and it is ok.  I mean he literally signed the papers firing a woman after she was raped and thrown in jail for fornication because its sharia law there.  She did took the rape kit and everything.  How do we as fans let that slip.

thats what I don't get either. Ok yeah fans will say it's her life, none of my biz, and obviously it isn't my biz, but I can still talk about it. I don't get how you can actually fall in love with a man that believes that stuff. They can do all the damage control they want but it ain't gonna change my opinion. Culture and religion is important in relationships, it makes us who we are. I could never marry someone with such conservative beliefs, unless they denounced them and told me that was their past. I certainly couldn't do what janet has done and just change for a man. Ugh!!

  7. Exactly. And Madonna could literally never do another thing in her career. She could actually have stopped 10 years ago. And she would still be the Queen of Pop. If anything, Madonna's engagement/desperation to be relevant COULD hurt her career. But her career can literally not be touched by anyone, not even herself. She will always be the most successful female recording artist of all time. Ain't that a bitch. Janet lost the race a long time ago. And to be frank, nothing she could do now would restore it. So who cares that she lied her way into retirement? Much ado about nothing.

I don't think that's fair. It depends how you look at things. On sales yes, Madonna is queen. But in longevity and impact Janet is queen. People don't count in that janet has been famous since she was a baby. Then a child star, a pop princess, an icon, a legend. The fact that mainstream media still sees her interesting enough to report on today shows her relevance. As for impact, well I would argue there are more pop stars following the janet blueprint, over the Madonna one. The kids today might not be aware of it, and that's wgere Janet's at fault but it's still truth. The evidence is there if you look for it.

  8. MJ showed more interest in taking naps with boys with cancer

Janet killed momentum in 2004 for some reason

but Michael was doing that since like thriller days, even after the allegations he came up with visionary masterpieces like scream and earth song. Atleast janet still had the interest with call on me and feedback. My point is, as soon as it didn't chart the interest just waned. It's like they didn't even want to try, they just blame it on everything but themselves.

  9. She profits more off one Ring than 4 concerts

    lol true.

Whats so weird though is how janet and Michael too actually had seemed to have lost complete interest in their legacy and image. There once was time when image and ART was everything for a jackson. They were visionary artists who had something to say. They were part of the the culture, in fact they wanted to influence and lead culture.

But now, it just seems to be about money.

  10. I love how we're pretending Dubai is some conservative place, like it's not a luxury destination that plenty of foreigners/Europeans do business and live. Y'all act like her moving there represents some moral failing. Also Wissam and Janet are rich so the same rules don't even apply to them if we're being honest.  A black person is killed every 28 hours by the state in the United States yet it's somehow morally wrong for Janet to be in Dubai/the Middle East? lmao Also she clearly makes frequent trips to Europe and America.

Dubai not a conservative place? Lol

    You're so naive.

It is illegal to have sex in Dubai if you are unmarried, so you can't book a room together unless you are a married straight couple.

It is illegal to dance in public, it is 'considered' indecent.

You can't hold hands in public unless you are a straight married couple.

You can't drink alcohol in your home, only designated bars, which are usually situated in the hotels.

    Dubai not conservative? Lol

Also you talk like it is a perfectly wholesome place for business. It's corrupt and money is thrown around like confetti.

I think it's truly idiotic that westerners holiday there, especially woman. But then some people are just that dumb and will do anything for a bit of sun and tacky luxury.

  11. I don't know but it's caused a real mess on iTunes. All the recent singles are labelled under janet and sometimes not janet jackson. So dumb.

I think if you say pop star janet, people know. But it's quite common name, not like Madonna or Adele. I don't even know their last names.

But to have jackson is not a bad thing. It's a legendary name, and I always think Janet Jackson sounds more legendary. We wouldn't refer to Michael Jackson as just Michael.

  12. It dosent matter whether they have gay ministers or not. The bible is agaisnt homosexuality, and even agaisnt women, calls for the stoning of unrully children, men are allowed to rape women, as long as they marry them, slavery is condoned, it is anti interracial marriage, and that's just the icing on the cake. The god of the bible, is as much of a homophobic, egomaniac, psycho asshole as the one in the Quran. So what the churches allow or not dosent take away the content in the book.

it does matter. It is reformed. The New Testament is no where near as 'evil' as the Old Testament or the Quran.

Our entire modern history is founded on the progressive mindset of those who protested against the conservative catholic influence. That was the reformation. The reason why we had the enlightenment, and why we advanced so much to become what we are today, to be able to vote for gay marriage and equality.

There is sadly no reformation going on in Islam and so as a result the rules of the Quran are still enshrined in the laws of most Muslim States, which are oppressive.

  13. Christianity is against homosexuality too as is Judaism. Stop singling out Islam.

the protestest Christian church allows gay ministers and in some churches gay marriage. It allows woman bishops. The head of the church of England/protest is a woman, the queen!

Islam is dominated by men. Let's not pretend.

Why do we sit back and tolerate it for political correctness when we should be questioning it just like we always seem to question anything wrong in christianity. If I had grown up a Muslim knowing how we live in the west, I would instantly be questioning it and rejecting it, because it just doesn't add up. So its totally bizarre to me if Janet's gone the other way. She's obviously seen something I don't see about the religion. Needle in a haystack.

  14. She's obviously a Muslim now. An American (assumed to be Christian as of 2011, confirmed in 'true you') doesn't just start saying 'inshallah' for the fun of it.

Whats islamophobic? What's wrong with having an issue with a religion that is the furthest from our western values. That's not islamophobic, it's just genuine concern.

Janet becoming a Muslim doesn't add up. It's not her. This is a woman who once sang free xone, now endorsing a religion that is so against homosexuality. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to find that 'peaceful'.

Janet is not in control if she is indeed following the religion and living in the Middle East. Given that she is married to a Muslim man who lives in the Middle East, one can assume she has converted.

  15. ^^^^ couldn't agree more.  Her touring days are probably done.  If she ever wants to return to stage ya'll better get your tickets to see her in a Vegas residency.

I'm sure she could pull off an number ones sized tour again.

But to be honest, I'm not even that bothered if janet tours. I only hope she continues to make music and gives us new albums to enjoy in the future.
