Reyna ♔
Often enough when I walk the beach, I'm sure some/all of you have as well, it's during a time when I need to think or vent the most. The beach is where I go when I need that most important "Me Time". I think of everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen. Dreams, aspirations, memories, wishes, the 9 and more. While walking the beach, I often find little shells. Sometimes they're covered with alot of sand, sometimes they're in plain view, or sometimes they've just washed up on shore from the ocean. I have found that this concept relates to quotes or situations and things that enter our lives. Some are buried in the past and need to be uncovered again, some we see or hear and instantly relate, some are new and freshly brought into or mind, and then some come back just to remind us to move forward. I wanted this thread to be that way. This thread will be my addiction. A little place for me to vent, but that doesn't say no-one else can drop some good wisdom in here. Be it quotes, poems, situations, anything. Feel free. No matter the depth. Be it comical, emotional, sentimental, sensual, it doesn't matter. So tell me, what shells are on your sea shore? INVITATION If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer . . . If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire, For we have some flax golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in! -Shel Silverstein When you love, you find peace. In peace you gain the serenity of obtaining wisdom. Wisdom gives you the ability to have faith. No matter how hard it gets, we haven't finished yet. Believe. Reyna ♔
The promises of this world are, for the most part, vain phantoms; and to confide in one's self, and become something of worth and value is the best and safest course. –Michelangelo Whoso would be a man, must be a nonconformist. Reyna ♔
Where The Sidewalk Ends There is a place where the sidewalk ends And before the street begins, And there the grass grows soft and white, And there the sun burns crimson bright, And there the moon-bird rests from his flight To cool in the peppermint wind. Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black And the dark street winds and bends. Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And watch where the chalk-white arrows go To the place where the sidewalk ends. Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow, And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go, For the children, they mark, and the children, they know The place where the sidewalk ends. -Shel Silverstein

Reyna ♔
Alone Lying, thinking Last night How to find my soul a home Where water is not thirsty And bread loaf is not stone I came up with one thing And I don't believe I'm wrong That nobody, But nobody Can make it out here alone. Alone, all alone Nobody, but nobody Can make it out here alone. There are some millionaires With money they can't use Their wives run round like banshees Their children sing the blues They've got expensive doctors To cure their hearts of stone. But nobody No, nobody Can make it out here alone. Alone, all alone Nobody, but nobody Can make it out here alone. Now if you listen closely I'll tell you what I know Storm clouds are gathering The wind is gonna blow The race of man is suffering And I can hear the moan, 'Cause nobody, But nobody Can make it out here alone. Alone, all alone Nobody, but nobody Can make it out here alone. -Maya Angelou

Reyna ♔
"Hope" is the thing with feathers— That perches in the soul— And sings the tune without the words— And never stops—at all— And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard— And sore must be the storm— That could abash the little Bird That kept so many warm— I've heard it in the chillest land— And on the strangest Sea— Yet, never, in Extremity, It asked a crumb—of Me. -Emily Dickinson
Reyna ♔
"Heaven" has different Signs—to me— Sometimes, I think that Noon Is but a symbol of the Place— And when again, at Dawn, A mighty look runs round the World And settles in the Hills— An Awe if it should be like that Upon the Ignorance steals— The Orchard, when the Sun is on— The Triumph of the Birds When they together Victory make— Some Carnivals of Clouds— The Rapture of a finished Day— Returning to the West— All these—remind us of the place That Men call "paradise"— Itself be fairer—we suppose— But how Ourself, shall be Adorned, for a Superior Grace— Not yet, our eyes can see— -Emily Dickinson
Reyna ♔
What Happens to a Dream Deferred? Does it dry up Like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore-- And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over-- like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sags like a heavy load. Or does it explode? -Langston Hughes
Reyna ♔
TRULY BEAUTIFUL DAYS Most people say, the most beautiful days Are those with a summer sun. All the grass is lush and green And bees and little bugs hum Where every flower is already in bloom And Everyone is stirring. I've had an epiphany, maybe a thought if you like Either way, it's always reoccurring The most beautiful days are the ones with blank skies And the people relax in peace. Where the rain pours down, or the snow softly falls And the heart and mind create with ease

Reyna ♔
If I Could Forget You If I could forget you Goodness knows I would It would be so hard But my heart knows she should I still remember when I first saw your face You were my separate peace You were my saving grace You introduced me to magic You introduced me to love It felt so perfect then One gentle hand, one silk glove If I could forget you The pain would disappear At least that's what I hope And this my greatest fear I want to move beyond you I want the memories erased No matter who draws close to me They cannot take your place You were my very first I wanted also to be my last But since I cannot see you You have to be my past Your songs still haunt my memories The melodies so sweet I can't help but fall Every time, head over feet But since I can't forget you You reign over my heart If I could forget you I wouldn't ask to start
