This is the only video where I thought Mariah was sexy.

I like this album for the most part. I'm just not buying this spin control that these people are selling. When Beyonce was in her prime, she virtually had no competition. While the likes of Ashanti, Amerie, and Ciara had some success, none of them were on "Beyonce's level." Now that Rihanna has more number one singles, Adele is burning up the charts, Katy Perry is on the verge of breaking a record set by Thriller (The biggest selling album of all time) and Lady Gaga is having unmatched album success, Beyonce fans want us to pay homage to her when in truth all she has been doing is being overexposed with underwhelming results. Save the "been there done thats" for an artist that has actually been there....and until a bitch has been on top for 20+ years, I'm not here for that. As great a performer as Beyonce is, she isn't running shit now that she has competiton.

But her own fans had the same expectations....

To say she's exceeding expectations is a bit much....considering her label...you know, the people that funded this project, were expecting more from her and this album. Music is subjective so spare me the "artistic growth" synopsis. This is only impressive considering she has no hit single....but exceeding expectations? Girl no.... Since when did we start accepting coupons of perspective and mediocrity? Damita Jo and 20 y.o. both sold over one million copies and Janet fans accepted them as flops, because they weren't up to par with Janet's competition. Now that Beyonce is performing underwhelmingly, we praise her for doing better than expected....all the while she's getting snatched bald by her peers. Ch...I can't.

Funny how when Beyonce had no competition she was praised for being number one. Now that Gaga has the sales, Rihanna has the hits and Katy has the number ones, we praise Beyonce for being close to number top five. I'm not knocking her sales...but let's be real, Beyonce got snatched this go around. Next time Bey fans....next time
