  1. but you still gonna buy a ticket, right? Hmm have several seats boo

it's not about me buying a ticket or anyone else in here. She has to sale tickets to fill an arena or we're back to cancellations and postponements again.

And the universoul circus is still on and poppin

  2. btw.. the circus has been canceled for quite sometime.

And FreeLove is right. Janet is 51Y.O. It would be classless and distasteful for her to be all nasty on stage. If her show was a movie, it should be rated PG13

Who said she had to be nasty of stage?  The term adult audience does not mean porn audience.  I mean an adult audience that does not want to see watered down lyrics and paddy cake wars just to make the kids on stage feel good.  Kids by the way who dance way more sexual than Janet right now.

  3. Actually none of the dancers have said anything about it - that I have seen. I know the younger ones are supposed to be there based on Gil saying he can't wait to see them. I'm guessing if they are there Janet will still have a level of it toned down & "family" friendly

the little ones are dancing on Jlo's show and doing their own classes so he could be saying can't wait to see you for anything. Her base is adults it should be geared towards adults.  If people want family friendly they can go to the circus

  4. "Janet didn't go to something she wasn't invited to... this era is the same" is equivalent to "Janet hired the same two dancers, the tour is the same"

Stop overreacting and you created your own disappointment. Sad.

I'm talking about not be visible like the last era and that's not a reach.  A video could have been sent. We would be talking about it this morning as well as the tour which a lot of tickets are still available for.

  5. im sure they understand she's not gonna leave her baby overseas to travel to nyc, perhaps she will send a message via video.

she could have brought him. They already inducted them and there was no video.  There were videos sent by people for other inductees.  So it looks like this era will be the same as the last as far as access to her. Not good

  6. Considering Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are the team that put her on the map and vise verses. She should definitely be there are sent something!!!! This is huge for them and they would definitely be there for her induction. She should definitely be there for them. Those guys are like family to her....hell they seem to be more supportive of her then her own family have been.

yeah she should be there in person. She is their muse as they have said. Looks like johnny is performing and maybe usher. But I may be reading into his IG post to much saying we honor you tonight

  7. Unbreakable was a great show and her stating "it's her best tour ever" is just a slogan. Don't read too far into it... it's for hype (every tour is Janet's greatest)

Continuing with two female dancers doesn't mean anything

Janet doesn't need to sexualize her tour to be great. She doesn't need to grind and kiss some random fan on stage either.

having male dancers has nothing to do with being sexualized. There are certain routines which require men.  It just seems they were cut because children were there.  The fanbase is adults.  They should get the real versions of the routines.

  8. So in regard to earlier speculation about dancers it looks like Kyndall and Taylor will be rejoining the tour. It makes me think that maybe they won't be changing much/anything, everything has been bought and paid for it's just a case of completing the tour.

If it's the same then this is not going to be her best tour ever as they have advertised.  I'm still not understanding why no men are dancing. Hopefully there will be.  It's like the tour was censored a bit last time for the kids but the fans are grown.

  9. I see this sh*t all the time.  Prince. Org and Lipstick alley come to mind. I used to go back and forth all the time.  But these last few months I do very little. Their opinions won't change and neither will mine.  So it's useless. The only Jackson family member that I side eye is Latoya.  The others I don't really care to drag... For what?  A couple of years ago I saw one MJ stan say Janet should have died instead of MJ.... Bish... I went the fu*k off.... I was so pissed!!!!!

And don't let Janet appear on a list above MJ....they will lose their mines.  It doesn't matter that 5 other artist are before him... They only question the reason why Janet is above him.

Over on Twitter a video was posted of Selena (not Selena Gomez)  singing "Billie Jean". Selena starts off by saying "It's a song by Janet Jackson's brother". People were really upset because Selena referred to MJ as Janet's brother.... As if Janet isn't always referred to as Michael's sister.  He can get just like she has gotten it.

Selena was a huge Janet fan and Janet was above MJ at that point.  She surpassed him after rhythm nation. He was full blown pop but with mostly white fans. Janet reached the streets and the valley.  I'm a huge MJ fan but fanbase is delusional and should have used their time and energy to keep killer Conrad away instead of spending time trashing Janet

  10. You don't know that bc Netflix doesn't release daily (or yearly or monthly) membership figures so you made that up

The point of most businesses is to garner new customers

Yes.. I realize they have hundreds of docs.. that doesn't mean they don't want new customers

they don't have to show their numbers. If membership wasn't growing they wouldn't be putting as much money in these new shows and comedy specials.  The controversy with 13 reasons why has drawn people there. The leaking of orange is the new black has drawn people there. Dave chapelles return, house of cards return etc has drawn new people in. The growth of membership is common sense.

  11. I don't believe a damn word of it for the simple fact Janet hasn't done anything she was supposed to including her "Pleasure Principle" lingerie line, her deal with Lionsgate, and now this. I ain't got time and apparently neither does Janet lol

lol well if it isn't true maybe all this talk of it will make her team make this happen. She had to do something for this tour promo

That's how Netflix works. People binge watch shows. 13 reasons, House of Cards, Unbreakable Kimmy, etc.

Its not broken segments. It's episodes.. 45-60 minutes. It's not hard to get

Netflix isn't looking for people who watch one documentary and moves on. The more a person watches a series the better. They're attracting new customers. If a customer signed up for Netflix to watch XYZ and that's the only reason, it's better to keep them around for longer than 2 hours. A series can keep them for 2-3 months depending on their lifestyle

Think about Beyonce's docu on HBO. Fans signed up and watched it and canceled.

people sign up for Netflix every day. So it's not like the views of the doc will stop once people have watched it. Plus Netflix has hundreds of documentaries on there so I don't think they have an issue with people going one and dones. They want views period and Janet's name will give them that.

  12. That would be extensive. I mean some minor recaps would be cool, pics:very brief stories I can understand but we've gotten SOOOO much about her earlier career we can move into the future IMO. I don't want it over or underdone just to satisfy fans. I think it should be a happy medium that's good for everyone (fans & business). The plus of  a Netflix doc is that it lasts longer it will be there through out the tour - driving people to the tour & to her.

I think the smartest move if this is done would be - a 2 hr doc - her showing her process & speaking on some real things, then if it does well set a negotiation to film & do the concert on closing night where the tour will be there too. If it is 10 parts, which feels like a lot, maybe it should be 30 minutes - that's still 5 hours. I just want it all to make sense.

yeah like little flashbacks. This is probably the last one of these things we will get so it should be made for historical purposes so that people 20 years from now can go back and watch it. It's interesting that a lot of the Janet legacy matters people are against this idea.  No better way to preserve history than to put it on film

This is why fans aren't apart of her team and should just act as fans and not as successful business shakers & movers: "The smartest move..." ?

No one outside her base gonna sit through a 2 hour docu on Janet Jackson. That's NOT a smart move. It's actually the opposite of a smart move when it comes to Netflix.

The documentary will be 45-60 minute long, 10 part documentary. Not thirty minutes

if this is on Netflix and people log in and see this doc at the top of their Netflix page they will watch. You don't have to sit through 2 hours of anything on Netflix. You can watch in parts. It's not going anywhere like on TV.

  13. I've said for a long time on here Janet should do more behind the scenes things & a documentary where she shows her philanthropic involvement, her creativity, her process BUT it needs to be a documentary of Janet dropping jewels & giving you an eye into her mind & LESS reality tv. The whole Wissam thing - that feels a little eh. If anything maybe show him pick up the baby or her getting the baby & something like her going to work while Eissa is with him but nothing too reality tv driven. 10 parts also sounds unrealistic - if it was just an hour plus long & an option to record the tour w/ BTS footage this would be great.

I wouldn't mind seeing this series go from the start of her career until now. Show the journey along with behind the scenes stuff for the tour.

  14. As a TEXAS fan, I certainly hope not!!  Also I think you've got some conflicting assertions. The Texas shows are all in big cities... Houston (7 million metro) D/FW (7 million metro) Austin (2 million) and San Antonio (3 million). IMO the true mistake would be to skip over such large parts of the country.

The path to assure sales for Janet Jackson starts with Black Radio, the absolute core of her fan base. Even if she wants to keep her interviews limited, radio will be the cornerstone connection to make fans aware of the tour. A spot and some promos on something like Tom Joyner would be ideal. Thankfully, we know promotion is going better for SOTWT than UWT because the radio stations actually have some tickets to give away, and they'be been talking about it a lot more.

I also think heavier promotion in the big cities is key to shore up smaller shows in proximity. You want Houston folks to know that not only is Janet coming to us, but that she'll have two other shoes in close proximity-- Lafayette and Austin. Super fans will buy multiple tickets, while other folks will just tell friends and family in those other areas.

I forgot Tom was based on Texas.  Yeah hit every black radio market in every city she has s show in would be good. Except Steve Harvey who can't get out of his own way.
