Then how come Mariah and Madonna fans can pull off 1000+ sold copies of a 20, 25 year old album, simply to try to get it to #1? Why can't we do it? What's the difference?
Honestly, that's part of my problem with it. It feels like its a thing for fans to brag about

I do admire the passion though.

couldn't we do one of her favorite charities? I've bought all her albums, some several times
If I were ever to get involved in something on these lines it would be this. Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but I buy albums to listen to. I have no desire to add to stats. Im pretty sure Janet would appreciate a charitable sentiment MUCH more.

do you tell your age? the actual number? I dont feel my age so much as I can say I have seen a lot and learned somethings, and Ive also NOT seen a lot and have a ton to learn too
Often not, depends on situation...at work if asked i definetly lie I feel there is too much expectation at certain ages. I guess maybe that's my issue. Certain situations where its unlikely I'm gonna see the person again I will just tell them.

30s will be some the best years of your life. You'll mature more than ever, give less fucks than ever, and you'll think about life more than ever and try to get the most out of it 30 is only old in the gay world but shit nowadays these younger ones dgaf. I'm 40 and just had a 22yr old
I feel like this is only coming thru now as ive reached my 40s. Its helps that I look 10 -12 years younger, which use to bug me. Now I embrace it and use to my advantage.

Metamorphosis???? I would kinda agree with the RN concerts and European performances, but more in terms of production and costume.

Since when has Janet EVER phoned it in??? She was dancing her ass off during Metamorphosis and the RN concerts!!! That China Love breakdown?!? Come on!!! I don’t know what some of you guys are expecting. Janet is 53-going on 54 this year. For her age, her showmanship and dance skills are top notch n beyond what most artists r doing today. Stop living in her glory days n realize she may have slowed down a little but puts on a show like a legend should!
That The Knowledge breakdown too

he made it sound like differences in "want" in terms of she's a Cali gurl, and he's an Atlanta boy , I was still shocked they never lived together after 8 years of being together. I'm thinking the fact they did NOT live together, tells a LOT about how somebody felt in that relationship. I dont even think you can really test a relationship out properly unless you did live together, how would you propose to someone for marriage and you don't know their day to day living habits? That's a huge piece missing IMO
23 hours ago, Angela said:I thought they lived together too but this also tells me everything I need to know about how Janet felt about the relationship. She deeply loved him, but it still wasn’t enough for her to give in. It also tells me she had some reservations. I respect that.
Yet she moved to another continent and had a baby with Wissam! I notice people always compare the two relationships, saying she was so much happier with JD. We just dont know. I think what it really comes down to is wanting/needing different things at different stages of your life.

THAT! I was like, hold up, they didnt live together? .....so anywho they reposted this interview, with JUST the Janet part I guess milk it however you can My question is at what point can you do an interview where Janet isn't brought up?
Precisely...people jump on JD for always talking about her, but he is always asked! It doesn't appear to frustrate him though.

I think he has implied it most time when asked ^^
I'm more surprised they didn't live together...i assumed they did together in Atlanta.

They were an R&B duo from the 80s. They were huge, they had hits like Girl You Know It's True, Girl I'm Gonna Miss You, and Blame it on the Rain. Then, it turned out that they never sang on their record! The media tore them apart and they were humiliated by the public. One of them ended up committing suicide. Was anyone here around when they got busted?
i forgot that one committed suicide and whether it was long after the scandal. I was around 7/8 and remember it being a big thing, though a few groups were doing it at the time.

Take Care (“At home, I’m so alone, I’m wishing you were here...”)
I Get Lonely (“I get so lonely, can’t let just anybody hold me...”)
And I think a reworked version of outtake Clap Your Hands (called Wash Your Hands) is necessary for these times.
this popped up (along with Enjoy) on my Youtube list yesterday and i was reminded how beautiful and appropriate they are

Just checked her out and she is really good and will totally push the bondary for Janet without losing her essence. I forgot to tell yall that there was this one time I was on Gil's live some months ago and he had asked what performances you wished came back for her new concerts and said Alright with the Zoot suits becuase that was just a whole iconic era for Janet. He responded Ew nope never (or something along those lines)
I was like Arwww
id actually agree with him there. I hated the A4U suit in particular

No, I felt that way in realtime of her actual set. It always felt lukewarm to me. Even then the SB halftime shows were BIG prior to all the advanced technology that would come later. Even Beyonce's halftime was not that impressive..i expected her to go all out and she didnt do what i thought she would bring proudctionwise. This was one time where Katy Perry, Madonna, And Gaga outdid Janet and Beyonce. For instance i imagined Janet having like 1,000 military dressed dancers for RN..running and marching out on the field...and doing a big choreographed piece...I juss seen in my head a BIGGER permance than what she gave..it felt kind of contrived and limited to me. I never LOVED it like i wanted to. Then it could been like fire explosion and they go into the "IF" breakdown... Like it would have been OUT OF THIS WORLD! Juss the sheer fact that she didnt incorporate the IF breakdown into the performance was a drop of the ball. A4U should not have been on her setlist...it juss doesnt say "superbowl" to me
Damn I guess this has played on your mind a bit

Superbowl performances have come a long way since

I had no desire to see the Up Close & Personal Tour
My copy of A4U is bootleg
I don't own the Control album
I bought TVR several years after its release
Ive hidden my copies of 20YO and Discipline

Its about a young black British boy who is "farmed" out to live with a white family and he joins a white supremacy group. Based on a true story it was somewhat harrowing to watch yet I was still engaged.
