And you bring up an important point here... what does being the "most popular" have to do with being the best?? Two different concepts. Even when it comes to being a hit record vs. just being a good song... those are not entirely in sync. That said, I do really like Take Me Away, but it's not my favorite track from the album, and not my fav Janet song.

I couldn't DISagree more here. Take Me Away is a classic... very much in the vain of When I Think Of You or Doesn't Really Matter. To me it captures the "sunlight" that has always propelled Janet's biggest hits. A sweet, simple message delivered by her with a few hints of a laugh or a screech in between. IMO Take Me Away is THE biggest sleeper hit on Unbreakable. The only question is WHERE it would be a hit. I'm not sure if it would latch on as well in America, but it Japan?? Release this as a single with a good video and it's OVAH... even in 2017. Let's analyze the Number 1 hits (all format) as a test of the above hypothesis... Honestly, Unbreakable has more hits on it. Black Eagle and Take Me Away were done solely by the Triumverate, and those tracks stand up with Janet's classics IMO. The Night track was originally written by Mickey Shiloh and Tommy McClendon, but the Triumverate knew what to do to make it a killer track. But again can't become a hit if people don't know about it!!!

Ok sorry for the confusion... but I meant that as fans we can count down to the tour by sharing Janet's songs and videos. Ex... organize a #StreamJanet party and pick a lesser known song to share like New Agenda. Then pick a time on that day where everyone shares and likes/ retweets it.

A thought... As we all count down until the State of The World Tour, would any forum members be interested in starting some regular Janet social media events. If we picked say a song of the day and just went with a hashtag like #StreamJanet or #DiscoverJanet it would be a great way to gear up for the tour. If you're interested, please let me know and we can get organized.

Unbreakable is her newest body of work, and the only one (thus far) that is of the Digital/ Streaming era. So those songs are likely to have more streams than even some big hits from the past. I'm glad to see that her work is being (re)discovered, but surprised that she's not more popular. Let's hope the State of the World tour can change that.

I just bought my Lafayette ticket on Friday. I checked out different price ranges and it was looking very limited. Finally caved and ended up springing for the floor seat and full package. So I'm a lock for both Lafayette and Houston. The first two shows!!
