^^ Does the link not show up for you or something? It is for me and Shemar quotes her at the beginning

I think I prefer this to the original slightly. You can hear her better on this version and I LOVE the keyboards

Hate to keep replying but this is another interesting video on the 2005 trial. It's a reading of an article:
-
so supposedly some of these "weird" photos that MJ allegedly had weren't even in existence until 2008, and the Radar article is saying these things were found in the 2003 police raid..??
So someone intentionally inserted these pictures into that police report as if they were taken in 2003..
wtf media!? ??
You know what else is interesting? I glanced at the PDF files the day Radar released them. The total amount of pages was 88. Now, I haven't been back to the site since, but I've heard from other MJ fans that they took down the PDF files and then put them back up. When they did, it was 27 pages shorter. I believe the person I read this from is named '@sanemjfan' on Twitter

Who gave Me, Myself, and I a 3?! Game, was that you?
I'm happy that Maroon 5's "This God" made the top 10. It's such a great track.

I saw a clip of it on Twitter and I don't want to see the rest. It was so unnecessary for him to have everyone in bed together. It's all kinda pretentious if you ask me.
Just release your song and go. If you're already popular and it's at least a decent track, you should do well enough.

I'm surprised we missed this one. Shemar Moore quoted Janet in a Facebook post. Her impact is never-ending!

A new article regarding this just released. An artist has completely debunked the story. Radar must have added his photo to the PDF files in order to make the story even more salacious. Honestly, the whole thing is ridiculous

If she does go back to acting, I'd hope it'd be for a completely different type of movie. I remember on the Seacrest Show in 04 she said she wanted to do an action movie. At her age though, I think it's now too late for her to get a leading role in an action movie .
I don't think she'll ever do a movie as one of the lead roles again tbh. It's kind of a shame. While I'm happy Janet chose to do the VR tour over the Matrix movies (as the VR tour is Janet at her best), doing the Matrix probably would have helped her in the acting world.

Those four songs are the best slow songs she's done in years prior. When We Slaaa, China Love >>>> Any[ol']thing, Body that Bores You
You will not come for Anything! That's my favorite Janet song ever. China Love and When We Yawn are boring in comparison tbh

Very interesting. I thought the song was kinda forgettable to be honest. I'm surprised she signed a hip-hop group and not someone who's pop/R&B like she is.

Very unfortunate. I'm still curious to know how his estate will handle everything with no will.

I agree that she looks too photoshopped in some of the pics but it's great to see Janet out!
I could see this photo becoming a meme online with stans to some extent.

I still bop to Daybreak from time to time. I guess I'm one of the few. lol.
I do agree with everyone's thoughts on the 20YO album overall. Not a great way to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of your breakthrough album.

Discipline took some time especially since she didn't write anything and I KNEW she didn't write anything (except an interlude 0_o)
Oh gosh. "4 Words" (literally) and she had a co-writer for that, if I remember correctly. She really phoned that album in.
20 Y.O was/is complete (sorry guys....and Janet) garbage!!!! I bought the deluxe edition. Listened to it once and never listened to it again. I was so disappointed. It didn't sound at all like the Janet I knew and loved. Aside from "enjoy" I fucking hated that whole album and era. I hated the fact that every interview and magazine centered around her current weight lost and not the music. And "so excited " featuring nasty ass KHIA made me hate that song even more....thank you JD....NOT!!!
Discipline was a very close 2nd. I could tell she didn't have much input in that album and it showed.
Janet during this time seemed uninspired. Terry was right when he said "if you have nothing to say then you shouldn't be in the studio". But I also know that Janet had to fulfill that contract with Virgin.
I kind of liked the choreo for "So Excited" but that was about it. The song is a complete whisper (like most of the 20YO album) and Khia... I mean, the public still doesn't know who the hell she is, really. I noticed that she started working with a few generic rappers (Khia and Chingy) during that time
Why doesn't "Daybreak" get a lot of love? I actually really loved that song. I think it would have been a better single than So Excited or Call on Me. In the back of my mind I feel like that could have been Escapade's younger (less successful) sibling.

So do i...i actually hate Warmth.
Moist is cringe-worthy at times, but it's kinda funny whenever I listen to it because of the cringe.
Warmth is just a bore to listen to along with being somewhat cringe-worthy IMO.
-
I like when Janet makes songs where singing is a priority lol. Although I can fuck with the whisper & it can be perfect depending on the song i.e. Love U 4Life & Anything I love singing Janet. Oh & I don't know if I mentioned it on the previous page but 24Play is pure excellence in my eyes. The one on the album. Not the video mix
"Anything" is probably my favorite Janet song ever! It always takes me to a special place; it makes me feel extremely relaxed.
"My Need" is definitely in my top 10 favorite Janet songs. The note at the end was also a nice studio vocal IMO.

The boots from "Feedback" were a bit nicer, if I remember right

So the majority of people think RN. That was one of mine, but I think Control would also be a good song to summarize her as an artist.
and Michael spent the rest of his entire life trying to top Thriller ....I always say Janet was more versatile she innovated more did more, RN was not the end but an era followed by many more great eras, which is also why I dont like comparing them they stand on their own
That was one of his mistakes. Thriller set the bar very high early on in his career and it would be almost impossible for him to top its sales. I remember reading in his autobio that he wanted Bad to sell ~100 million. I love MJ and his music, but yeah, he could have done more things completely out of his comfort zone in terms of song and dance.

(I don't think a thread like this has been made before)
Imagine that we're 100 years into the future and someone has never heard a Janet song. They can only listen to one of her songs. Which song do you think best summarizes her legacy and artistry? What one song do you think would give that person the best glimpse of Janet?

^^^ First time listening to this guy. I liked both songs, especially the second! I wouldn't mind seeing this guy get more popular.
-
I think this is an OK example of her vocals. It's shaky at parts but I like her high notes close to the end.

Even though the show was all lip synched, I felt the RWU tour had great vocals.
Really? It was? I guess I'm not good at telling when she's using pre-recorded vocals, doing it live or a mix between the two. How much of Unbreakable do you think was live? I think the RN Tour had the most live vocals from her.

I really hope the estate takes legal action. MJ's nephews appear to be trying to do something though.
