I actually don't count MTV Unplugged since it's not a studio album of completely new material, but I love it for the fact that it proved once and for all she wasn't using studio effects.

1992 had a lot of amazing albums, but my favorite would have to be Ooooooohhh...On The TLC Tip.

I like Bodyguard but I only really listen to the Whitney songs + "...Lovely Day." I need to listen to rest of The Chronic, but "Nuthin' But A G Thang" is a hip-hop classic.

I nearly didn't include Mariah because it wasn't a studio release. But then I figured if an Unplugged album can be nominated for (and win) AOTY at the Grammys then I have no problem allowing it here. Same applies for soundtracks.

I see; personally, I just go by if it has mostly "new material." I definitely count soundtracks though ; Lion King and Waiting to Exhale especially.
