  1. I wanna hear the story behind songs like Black Eagle, Dream Maker, Take Me Away. We've heard 76599865468 times about the conception of Night, After You Fall, Dammn Baby.

  5. A lot of non fans love Unbreakable. I play it front to back when I Uber and people love it. Esp Great Forever and Dream Maker/Euphoria

  7. Get to look at the queen as I brush my teeth
  8. That we need togetherness 'Cause lost pride has no room If you don't forget where you come from... What kind of prophetic anthem??? Ugh, still can't get over how "Can't Be Stopped" was a hidden track.

  10. album Control and its assertion of her identity as an artist, Janet Jackson was thinking big. Rhythm Nation 1814 is a thrilling mix of social messaging and dancefloor pleasure. https://www.google.com/amp/pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/22253-rhythm-nation-1814/amp/?client=safari
  11. Album still sounds fresh, it was well worth the seven year wait. The thing about UB is that it's so good that you can't play any tracks out of order. The sequence of how it's put together is so well done. For instance, if I'm listening to BurnitUp! and reach the end of the song then I'll start craving Dammn Baby which leads into The Great Forever. I can skip Shoulda Known Better, After You Flop, and Broken Hearts Heal. The album picks right back up with Night, No Sleeep [side 2] Dream Maker, 2 B Loved, Take Me Away, Promise, Lessons Learned, Black Eagle. Can sometimes skip Well Traveled. Gon' B Alright is prolly the only track besides the bonus ones where I can just randomly listen to it. Awww, Unbrekable is like my Velvet Rope 2.0 now. What do you like about the Unbreakable album?
  12. Finally broke into Gon' B Alright, so I'd say Unbreakable is the first Janet to hit me instantly (except for maybe 2 or 3 tracks) I still can't get with Well-Travelled though. And I love every song on the album
  13. Daybreak was an intentional nod to Escapade. You can't take the lyrics literally, it's a cute song...and I love how it transitions into Enjoy w/ the alarm clark, birds chirping etc.
  14. Initially I didn't care much for the AFY album but it gradually crept it's way into my top 3 over the years. I remember first hearing China Love and thinking it's right up there with French Blue as one of her worst. But now it's a top 20 Janet track for me...ugh, AFY has so many layers and hidden gems buried within. It truly is Janet's grown woman record (many say janet. or DJ) and you can tell she was truly inspired recording the album while being newly single. Top five songs from the album: 1. China Love 2. Truth 3. Trust A Try 4. All For You 5. When We Ooo
