It seems most of the Janet era videos are widely available now

The Lambs can seem to forgive Mariah for her voice cracking, why is it so hard with Janet? Either way it's only one performance.

Honestly, it's better to go the the smaller fan communities. Discussions are far healthier.
But whatever happened has happened and Janet will be more than OK regardless.

RN wasn't big here but yes it still iconic and well known. RN got one of the biggest response. What we are saying is concentrate on those well known songs...deep cuts like RNB Junkie, COGU, TAT are not gonna be that appreciated being performed here, ESPECIALLY a Glastonbury crowd.
Fair enough, but calling it stupid is bit dramatic...

Revisited by others. Not by the artist themself. It was STUPID of her to have that setlist in the UK.
Stupid is a bit much. Even if RN wasn't that big in the UK, it's still arguable her most prolific project. That's how most people define her sound.

Janet isn’t royalty in the UK for her to demand that kind of respect. Be grateful they accepted her money to get a slot.
ABBA wasn't exactly royalty in the US, but it didn't stop their music from being revisited.

Maybe she dresses like she does because she's still legally married...perhaps a finalized divorce will provide something less homely.
From what I've seen, there is a lot of room for improvement, but the performance nor the reception was as catastrophic as some fans made it seem. The fact the publicity made some people take out their wallets (i.e., albums charted on itunes) show the affair was an accomplishment of sorts.

Well, "the Best" is #38 on Itunes (Rhythm Nation is #81), so there's the impact right there...

And the US still only has her A&M videos (except for Nasty and Let's Wait Awhile)

No, especially within the Janet community. Within the past few years, disagreements have gotten really personal. And dont get me started with the pontificating among some people.

Eh, it was pretty ambitious to come out kinda thrown together.

This kinda reminds me of Kylie's Latin version of Stop me From Falling.
It's cute. Mellow but consistent. Doesn't attempt to climax for change pace in any way.

Game has always hated MJ, looooooooong before this. I remember saying to him years ago that his MJ hate is disturbing. I'm speaking as an observer but it really is vendetta-like. Laughed when Dayz said did ya'll have a bad business deal - but it is like that.
For the record, I don't know what to think. I don't think MJ should have been so close to those kids and I don't deny that he was hella weird - but it bothers me a lot that Wade lied under oath, Stockholm Syndrome or not, he placed his hand on the Bible and swore to tell the truth. So if he lied then to me he's not credible. Don't know about James. Like I said, don't know what to think. MJ's dead, it can't be proved, I just want to separate the music from the man because I can't imagine life with his music in it.
If it is true then it's damn sad - horrible for the victims, MJ's family, us for being fooled. But we'll never know for sure.
You drummed up my feelings perfectly.
MJ fans need to be realistic about the negative attention his behavior brought, but his haters are disingenuous to ascertain suggestions of inappropriate behavior and ignore evidence that suggest otherwise.
The claims are never gonna die period, but the fans can fight to alleviate the damage to his legacy.

No.. it is FAR from the best cover. Literally the worst cover she’s ever done. Wtf
It really is. Looks like a promo for a cheap horror flick.

Norman PLEASE my god stfu about WACKOS
Its NOT just Wackos that think MJ is innocent. I literally know casual fans who think he is innocent. Stop tryna push that crippled narrative to try and push a desperate misdirected point of view about Michael. You act more obsessed w/ him than a damn Wacko anyway.
Again IT IS NOT JUST MJ STANS who think he is innocent. You sound like a moron ...or who knows maybe you are. Either way its not cute. Your deep rooted "issues" w/ MJ over the years make you look even crazier than the Wackos I might add. So youre pretty much in the same category as those you speak so poorly about.
"Look in the mirror my friend"
*waits for tired ass rebuttal that will go back to pushing a tired unproven narrative that this desperate MJ basher wants to revive time and time again*
Good luck w/ that proof. Bc w/o it you have no argument. Good day.
Game's argument:
- Michael was too close to those kids, therefore the claims of sexual abuse are certain.
- Anybody who disagrees (and can thoroughly support their argument) are wackos, sheep. Also the right to defend oneself is victim shaming.
-Wash rinse repeat (and very adamantly. People think being adamant makes a statement true.)

You guys should be happy it's not Ciara or Teyana Taylor doing this.
Add Tinashe and SZA to the list.
MJB and Toni are probably the most reasonable among Janet's peers. Idk what some of you are getting Mariah from.

If you must know what my prediction is—well, here goes:
....there will be more posthumous accusers, unfortunately. His musical legacy will remain largely intact but he will become more and more associated with pedophilia as the years go on, similar to how suicide is mentioned whenever Kurt Cobain is spoken about. And the association will become an automatic connection, like a reflex—moreso than ever while he was living, as his defenders and rebuttal statements will dwindle over time as the LN doc will reach a revolving door-type of audience. And eventually another accuser will come out, whether true or not, any boy who has ever spent time with MJ will have an open invitation to be a headline grabber/fund gainer for all eternity now that MJ is dead—since there’s zero chance of a defamation lawsuit against any future accusers.
and this is a bit of a twisted thought I guess... but if Macauly Culkin or (......dramatic pause......) Prince Jackson *gasp* ever come out with allegations it will just be a complete wrap at that point
Well if anyone comes out of the woodwork, they should do it within the next few months. It seems with the other #metoo cases, people were coming out of the woodwork almost immediately after claims. With Michael, it seems to be one or two people every 10 years. If its gonna be like that its gonna be harder to believe anyone that comes out. Fear doesn't even hold that much water at this point as the estate has proven its incompetence to really retaliate.

The only problem with Janelle is that she isn't the megastar who some think well better validate Janet's legacy. However, her music is a lot of Janet infliences and she is well-abled to articulate Janet's influence on her life and that of many others.

my apologies English isnt my first language. I meant to refer to a relationship that is not sexual, just friendship. plutonic platonic whatever the right word is
Yeah I spelled it incorrectly the first time.

Wackos thinks what’s true is based off vindictive police department and a late FBI raid and court documents
Youre assumung these relationship weren’t inappropriate from a man who didn’t have a mock relationship until he was well into his thirties... by a man with hormones but ACTED like a child.. by a man who manipulated adults.. by a man with MULTIPLE locks on his bedroom door
YOU DO NOT KNOW HIM so stop pretending as if you do. You don’t know went on behind closed doors, 1-on-1 with him.. you know who does? James Safechuck And Wade Robson and many other little boys
But you’re going to assassinate their character and timetables as if that matters... but that only works on Wade like lawyers. You’re not a lawyer. You’re a blind follower... sheep
Nobody's ever gonna have the absolute truth, but at least documentation exists to vindicate him. Most anti-MJ articles I see is just the media fanning flames.
And where did I ever implied to know him? I only said to stop making your assumptions into facts. All those claims you keep making do not mean that abuse took place. You're the one who wants to make it seem you know what took place.
Honestly, Wade and James can say what they want. It doesn't exempt their statement from being challenged. You're mad because it's completely warranted.

Even if it was platonic, it was still wrong. And he should have been held accoubtable for it. He just got away with a lot cause he was rich and famous.
Do you know what platonic means?
-
Assumption=/=Truth
I don't think anything will ever fully vindicate MJ, but implying something because of something is a slippery slope. No one can reasonable prove that it is impossible for his relationship with those children to be plutonic.

I’m not sure if you’re referring to the people who accused Michael or MJ’s wackos
The Truth isn’t in the form of court documents or police findings or frivolous lawsuits
JUST STOP IT!!!!
Make it make sense.
And I'm referring to people who strongly dislikes Michael and will cling on to anything to destroy is legacy.

That wasn't the point I was making. Some fans act like Janet should help them pay their student loans or mortgage because they were underwhelmed.
