You think he should've just stayed quiet? Would you accept Janet continuing to tell us nothing? I'm fine with either one. I felt bad cause I was talking to someone online from Columbia and he asked who my favorite singer is and when I told him Janet he said "The sister of Michael?" and I said yes and had to explain to him that Janet is also huge but not as huge as Michael. Then he played "Made For Now" and said that's the only song he knows by her because of Daddy Yankee and the song was played heavily in the country.  He's 25 and he already knew Mariah and Whitney's music

i believe him. Why wouldn't he know? Flu season just started and more cases of corona are popping up due to reopening. I just don't see her touring anytime soon...let alone any artist.

I love how some of y'all in here acting like Janet don't exist. Beyonce doesn't give me anything related to MJ or Whitney. In fact as much as she's like she is disliked just as much. There literally used to be Beyonce hate websites for her. She is definitely trying to paint this picture as if she's on their level. She's never sold as many albums as either of them including Janet. She only has 1 album that sold over 12 million copies. She doesn't have organic music that stands the test of time. IMO she just doesn't compare and idc how much people try to hype her up. I noticed after her sales started getting lower and lower she entered herself into this "elite" status by doing what Janet and Michael did which is trying seclude herself from the public eye. There used to be a time when she made sure she was always in the spotlight. Nothing she does intrigues me cause most of it has already been done.

Thank you!!! Just 3 years prior Janet had 2 no.1 back to back singles in 2000 and 2001 with Doesn't Really Matter and All For You and she was 33/34 during that time. Not to mention at 34 she had the longest running no.1 song of the whole year. You're also correct about Damita Jo being estimated to outsell AFY cause of all the controversy and everybody wanted Janet. It was all due to Les Moonves blacklisting Janet's music and videos from radio and tv that led to the album flopping

Yeah a lot of people have been bringing it up that he said it months ago and I just tell them that a lot of us are just now hearing about it. I mean I heard about him saying something but I thought it was a week or 2 earlier, not months. Then for some people although we know he said it a while ago, being able to see the clip of him saying it made it fresh again and made us even more mad. I know it made me more angry when I actually saw it lol.
