.While the Golden Globe Awards were taking place this Sunday, the internet the buzzing about the show and it wasn't about what the stars were wearing. A report recently surfaced that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization that runs and votes on the Globes, is getting sued by their former publicist for, amongst other things, breach of contract and wrongful termination. But the lawsuit from Michael Russell itself is boring compared to the deep dark secrets about the HFPA it may reveal. Russell claims that he was fired from his job as publicist for the Globes after he reached out HFPA president Philip Berk warning him that the organization's "seedy practices" were in violation of its status as "a charitable organization dedicated to recognizing excellence in film." The "seedy practices" Russell spoke about were:

>> Accepting money, vacations, and gifts from studios in exchange for nominating their films.

>> Selling media credentials and red carpet space for profit.

>> Accepting payment from studios and producers for lobbying other members for awards nominations.

all these award shows are the same...the things i've heard from people who work behind the scenes on the Grammy's, chile......

They pretty much are...there's really no point in even watching the Oscar's....the same 5 films will be nominated

I still haven't seen it yet.

I wonder if Timberflake will even show up to the Image Awards...since he's nominated.

Justin has been MIA from the more important award shows since he wasn't nominated..hee20hee-vi655.gif

He'll probably pass on the image awards too....hee20hee-vi655.gif
