  1. And they haven’t played “Made For Now” yet....AT ALL!!! ????
  2. Me too!!! Apparently recorded A LOT of songs with Jimmy and Terry???!! ???
  3. Honestly, it makes absolutely no sense that she hasn’t been inducted yet!!! Since the “Unbreakable” era, she should have been inducted immediately!!! ?? Her vast accomplishments, artistic acheievements and immense contributions to pop music the past 4 decades can’t be denied anymore! It’s simply ridiculous! ?
  4. I agree as well! It’s different for her but such an infectiously catchy song with a great beat and wonderful message despite the simplicity of the lyrics! Can’t wait to hear more from her new music in the fall!!! ????
  5. 1. “Rhythm Nation” Director: Dominic Sena “Yup, her BEST VIDEO OF ALL TIME!!! I can’t imagine a music video greater in her catalogue of musical cuts! The unforgettable message that still holds up today, the most iconic image of her career, the choreography synonymous with how amazing her dancing is, the industrial, post-apocalyptic warehouse setting, the impeccable synchronized dancers led by army general, Ms. Jackson herself. “Rhythm Nation” was more than just a militaristic music video, it was a moving movement of unity, dance and awareness of the world’s problems and issues we are still dealing with til this day. It made eve Micheal and Madonna take notice and solidified her massive impact in pop history til this day!” ??????
  6. 2. “If” Director: Dominic Sena “If.....it’s the quintessential Janet Jackson music video!!! Besides that STILL legendary dance break, the video’s concept is truly something to behold as it was truly ahead of its time. A mere 15 years before touch screens were invented with Apple, “If” tells the story of voyerism as club goers enter a secret Chinese club where Janet and her dancers are performing a risqué yet remarkable dance routine as people interact through monitors and have sex while watching them. It’s her sexiest video to date with Tina Landon’s most accomplished work of art! Can she work with Janet again, please!!?” ??????
  7. 3. “All For You Director: Dave Meyers ”All For You was Janet’s last HUGE era and she came back in the new millineum with a bang!! The music video is the epitome of not only the perfect Janet Jackson video but the perfect female pop artist video; Very colorful with an inventive concept and Janet living in a 2D world where everyone one including her just sticks out even more. That dance break toward the end again is one of her most memorable and iconic as well as her smile being simply divine!” ?
  8. 4. “Got Til’ It’s Gone” ft. Q-Tip and Joni Mitchell Director: Mark Romanek ”If “Made For Now” represents the ascension of black excellence and success, then “Got Til’ It’s Gone” represents black separation and isolation. With a thought provoking apartheid theme, Janet looks so naturally beautiful with little make up as her and rapper Q-Tip make the best of their depressing situation and enjoy the times amongst their people. There are SOOOOOO many powerful images here from a beaten and bruised boxer to twin boys moving together like a reflection in a mirror. Easily Mark Romanek’ s finest direction (besides Madonna’s “Bedtime Story”), this video is like a moving art piece that becomes more moving and gut-wrenching visually as it goes along. Masterful video!”
  9. 5. “The Pleasure Principle” Director: Dominic Sena “As I get closer to the top it’s getting REALLY HARD to find gifs that perfectly encapsulates these classic music videos as a whole. The sixth and final single off her breakthrough “Control”, Janet enters an abandoned warehouse looking very tough and determined as she sings about a relationship gone terribly wrong! There was no need for an extended army of dancers (yet!), special effects or directing trickery, it’s simple Janet dancing her ass off from location to location and it’s just incredible! The chair jump, the mic stabs routine, her dramatic posing, her iconic flip, etc. It’s no wonder this beat out Micheal’s “Smooth Criminal” for Best Dance Video at the VMAs a year later!” ?????
  10. 6. “Made For Now” Janet x Daddy Yankee Director: Dave Meyers “It was hard finding the best gif to sum up how truly magnificent and sublime Janet’s latest music video is, but that last shot of her overwhelmingly beautiful smile as she looks like an African Queen among her people couldn’t be a stronger image for me. That’s what “Made For Now”, both song and especially video are: a very strong and poignant message about not only hope but being mindful of the present. A joyous video journey of not dwelling on the past or worry about the future, “Made For Now” is one of the most vibrant and astonishing brilliant videos I’ve seen in a LONG time. From Janet’s multitude of wardrobe changes to the African inspired dance break to the stunning visuals in cinematography as well as editing, her collaboration with reggaeton superstar Daddy Yankee is easily one of her finest video in a decade, showing even as her 12th entry in her discography approaching in her 4 decade career, she can STILL wow audiences and pull all the stops! So inspiring!” ?????
  11. 7. “Miss You Much” Directed by: Dominic Sena ”After Control, Janet was determined to return to the music scene even stronger than before with her fourth and arguably her best album! “Miss You Much” was an unprecedented arrival of funk, fun and longing for Janet to reunite with her lover. But as classic as the lead single off Rhythm Nation was, it’s the music video that was a tour de force of choreography. The Miss You Much routine would become one of many iconic ones from the pop legend and that surprise chair routine at the end??? Janet proved her talent was on the level of her brother and shouldn’t be denied!” ?
  12. 8. “Nasty” Director: Mary Lambert “Doesn’t get more classic Janet then this video. What Have You Done For Lately may have been an impressive introduction to this new Janet but “Nasty” really solidified her star power with the still iconic catchphrase “No my first name ain’t baby, it’s Janet! Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty! Add in Paula continued incredible display of choreography at the time, Janet’s signature sass and attitude and there was no denying a star was being born. Micheal who???” ?????
  13. 9. “All Nite (Don’t Stop)” Director: Francis Lawrence ”Probably her most underrated video release thanks to the Super Bowl controversy at the time, let’s get one thing straight! No matter my reservations over “Damita Jo”, “All Nite”, both song and especially the music video, were off the charts!!! ?????? Everything about it was perfection!!! The concept, choreography, the cinematography, the lighting (or lack there of), not to mention the sex appeal was intense!!! After “If”, this is without a doubt Janet’s sexiest dance video with an awesome “blackout” theme storyline through it and my goodness, as much as I dislike Gil, he really did that with the dance moves!” ?????
  14. 10. “Scream” ft. Micheal and Janet ”Scream is one of the most captivating and in your face videos of all time! ???? After settling out of court the allegations that were made about him, Micheal was CLEARLY VERY angry and went to his music to fuel his frustration! Teaming with little sis, Janet and desperately needing her own star power at the time to create one of the most epic sibling superstar team ups of all time, Scream is a sci-fi themed masterpiece as Micheal and Janet yell, curse, flip off and eventually dance their way through gothic fantasy outfits and a wondrous spaceship environment! Mark Romanek must truly be commended for such a classic video far beyond anything today’s videos can match up to over 20 years later!!! ??? The King of Pop and his legendary sis killed this one and then some!” ??????
  15. 11. “Escapade” Director: Peter Smilie “When I Think of You was definitely the precursor to Janet’s most classic memorable feel good song and video. Set in a carnival where Janet seems to be attending with her group of dancers, she takes the festivities up a level with her crazy catchy melody and phenomenal choreography! A Mardi Gras themed video, “Escapade” truly embodies all the elements of a Janet hit with a tremendously fun song incorporated into one of her most pop trendy music videos!” ??
  16. Wonderful behind the scenes!!! I love seeing the process behind music video especially a Janet video. Love seeing her and Dave Myers working together. Looks like this might be apart of a big project! ??
  17. 12. “Rock With U” Director: Saam Farahmand “The Discipline era was a bit of a mess. Feedback was a very strong lead single but the video was the product of great concept, bad execution. LUV was suppose to be the second single but the record label wanted Rock With U instead so Janet, while STILL promoting LUV here and there, released both song and video for Rock With U that fall and BOY what a masterpiece the video turned out to be!!! ???? The hypnotic beat mixed with that impeccably synchronized choreography as we get a one take shot of Janet and her dancers in punk 80s attire make their way through a futuristic club couldn’t have been more flawless. A true work or art in Janet’s history and such an underrated classic clip at what she does best!” ?
  18. So....will this be like the record for most lifetime achievement/icon/legend awards received in a single year?!?? ??????
  19. 13. “What’s It Gonna Be?” ft. Janet Director: Hype Williams ”So...let me ask you....do people even watch this video for Busta??? ???? Never has a feature in a video stole the show more than Janet sporting that Queen of All Dominatrix outfit! She was just SOOOO gorgeous and SEXY!!! ? Oh yeah and this is just one of Hype’s best videos visually and the special effects were insane; still holding up til this day.”
  20. 14. “Doesn’t Really Matter” Director: Joseph Kahn ”I notice there was a trend in the late 90s/early 00s with music videos having futuristic themes. But once again, Janet does it the best as Joseph Kahn sets her in a future Tokyo with robotic dogs, night clubs with a slanting dance floor and apartments so confined yet so advanced! Once again, Janet and her choreographers create an iconic dance break in mist of all the cute chaotic feel of the video. Stunning direction helped by a strong single from the Nutty Professor Soundtrack!”
  21. 15. “Alright” Director: Julian Temple “With Alright, Janet and Julian Temple teamed up again for an even more masterful tale of the musical genre! This time, Janet is transported back to the golden age of hollywood with zut suits, classic movies and cinematic storytelling. Add in cameos by the legendary Cyd Charisse, The Nicholas Brothers and Cab Calloway and this is easily one of her most creative and exciting pieces in her videography!”
  22. 16. “When I Think of You” Director: Julian Temple ”Her first #1 hit couldn’t have been supported by a better video as the one take master at the time, Julian Temple, directs the first of 2 videos where he and Janet try to perfect their love for seamless musical transitions and old school dazzle! Such a sensational video clip filled with excellent direction and one again, Paula’s tremendous choreography!” ?
  23. 17. “Love Will Never Do (Without You)” Director: Herb Ritts ”A clear indication Janet was no longer that little girl millions had grown up with. The music video for the seventh and final commercial single from “Rhythm Nation” saw the militant pop icon trade in her combat boots for skin tight jeans and a sexy tank top. Herb Ritts really captures the glamour and freedom of Janet beginning to embrace her womanhood as she seduces her on screen love interest (a very young and sexy Anthony Sabato Jr. I might add) ? and Djimon Hounsu running around looking like dark skinned heaven!!! ? Such great visuals as Janet her beauty and sensuality beyond a desert landscape. What a way to end one of the best eras in pop music!”
