  1. Honestly I’m just glad she promised more singles and videos this era! Janet and her team have been smart this era so far, I’m sure they have an endgame in sight. No worries! ?
  2. It’s not my fault she lost me at “Thots 1:23”....??
  3. 18. “That’s The Way Love Goes” Directed by: René Elizondo, Jr. ”How can a video be so sexy and simple yet so iconic and timeless? Well, Rene really captured something special here with such an R&B classic! Janet herself wanted to return smooth and chill after such a HUGE era like “Rhythm Nation” and it worked in her favor so well. Who would have thought a video about Janet just hanging with her friends as she lets them hear her new song would be so good...but it is! And my god, she was just STUNNING here! ? Oh and J. Lo was there.....moving on....”
  4. 19. “Come Back To Me” Directed by: Dominic Sena ”One of her absolute best ballads accompanied by one of her most visually stunning ballad videos. I love how moody yet gorgeous Paris looks! Almost dream-like as Janet reminisces about a former lover she wishes to rekindle with. The landscape, scenery and cinematography are almost cinematic. Dominic really had an eye for setting the mood of the song so greatly with this video. My goodness!!!” ????
  5. 20. “I Get Lonely” Directed by: Paul Hunter ”Can a music video be sad, stunning AND sexy???! ??? Well yes it can as “I Get Lonely” just hits at the heartstrings with not only its self-loathing lyrics but it’s beautifully directed video. I just love everything about it from Janet’s iconic red hair to the shot of her walking down that hall way like she owns it to her feeling up on that manikin. Not to mention, Janet with Tina’s choreography showed how awesome her dancing could STILL be at mid-tempo. That bra reveal.....YAAASSSSS MOMMA set them free!!!! ??????”
  6. 21. “What Have You Done For Me Lately” Directed by: Brian Jones and Piers Ashworth ”I feel like this is one of the most quintessential 80s videos! Full of funk, attitude and BIG hair does! ???? But Janet took her roll out for “Control”; both album and era VERY seriously. You could tell this was her time and something in her had drastically changed from her very amateurish first video for “Dreamstreet”. Add in the snappy choreography from a then unknown Paula Abdul, the classic lyrics of this late 20 Century Top 5 hit and Janet Jackson the brand took off and never stopped!!!” ?
  7. 22. “Control” Directed by: Mary Lambert ”Get Ms. Jackson! I feel like before “Rhythm Nation”, this was her most iconic 80s look! The big hair, dated looking head set and shoulder pads. But this was Janet’s Declaration of Independence and the video for the title track didn’t disappoint at all! This is the first time we see Janet’s amazing stage presence even at 20! Those funky moves, effortless cool and infectious charisma she has was all presented so well. Gotta love Jimmy and Terry backing her up like it’s a freaking Prince concert! Instruments, legendary attitude and the end pose....the beginning of greatness!!! ?“
  8. 23. “So Excited” ft. Mr. Ed Directed by: Joseph Kahn ”I’ll admit! I’m not a big fan of the song but the video is as good as a Janet video can get in the 2000s. The then X-Ray special effects as Janet leads a group of dancers through a simply abandon train station is very clever and creative visually. Janet once again dances her ass off as we literally see through her hotel room, limbrogini and Khia’s lack of dental hygiene. ? The song itself has a nice hook and chorus, even if after “My Neck, My Back”, this is the ONLY thing Khia is known for. Still pressed about being in that TV aren’t you Thug Misses??? ? This legendary queen did you a favor and this is how you thank her??!! ? Moving On...”
  9. 24. “You Want This” Directed by: Keir McFarlane ”Janet’s videos are just fun! ? In this party starting anthem from her last single off of her self titled/last name excluded “janet.” album, the then late 20s popstar seemed to be on a road trip with her girlfriends when they run into some fine gentlemen that they are eager to tease. Filled with wonderful shots, a masterful verse from then Hip Hop pioneer MC Lyte and a titilating dance break at the very end of the video, “You Want This” is energetic and sexual feminism in a way that only Janet could!” ? The colorized version of course! ?
  10. Yes, I’m doing my own countdown of Janet’s best/my favorite videoes! So stick around! Starting with.... 25. “Someone To Call My Lover” Director: Francis Lawrence “For her second single off her #1 seventh LP, All For You, the video depicts Janet taking a journey throughout the country starting from the perspective of a jukebox and seeing the then very happy pop diva have fun even after her car breaks down??? ???? The song itself is a pop smash and the video beautifully captures the almost country elements of the song by setting her there. Gotta love Janet just having a blast and looking radiant as ever. I would talk about the So So Def Remix version but they only shot that version cause they realized Jermaine wasn’t in ANY of his shots and needed a booster seat in return for making the remix of the song.” ?
  11. ......But still no excuse to look like the Unvirgin Mary!!! That look is a monstrosity!!! ????
  12. Yeah, it was Jen’s night after all! Now I see why Janet didn’t perform! She’s humble and doesn’t make everything about her....unlike....??
  13. That’s a damn shame! Bet “your coochie gone swell up and fall apart” from all that sensual (fool’s) gold. Smh....
  14. Sensual gold??? Since when is Janet telling her man to “cum inside of me!” Sensual gold?? “When We Oooo” and especially “China Love” I would agree with but “Love Scene” and “Would You Mind” are the epitome of Janet losing her thirsty mind!!! ??? “The song ended...what the fuh? I didn’t even get to cum! Did you?” Well did you? ? Cause I can’t imagine anyone would after hearing that! ???? “Trust A Try” is classic rock Janet! Up there with “Black Cat”, “This Time”, and “What About”. Chile, your ears need better taste! ?
  15. Well should be an eventful night! Ariana trying to desperately redeem herself after the release of her new album, Cardi acting like a fool after popping out Kulture and Madonna making the Video of the Year catergory all about her! Apparently, they’ll be some “surprise collaborations”.....?....we’ll see.
  16. THIS!!! All For You’s “Single, Ready to Mingle” theme was weak overall, that’s my biggest problem with it. Sure she gets deep and angry on some songs but mostly, the album’s arrangement is all over the place and mostly falls apart. Thank god, some of her best singles/deep cuts are on it though. Saves it for me! ?
  17. Sorry, not for me, that boring piece of “Rene recovery” has always got my like.... “I loves Janet! Deeply I do! But I kill em dead if they makes me listen to “Truth”!” ?
  18. Omg!!! ??You think “Trust A Try” is the worst song on the album and my opinion is wrong!?!? ??????...
  19. First I agree, it was her best album of the 2000s and second.... HA!!! Not when “Love Scene”, “Would You Mind” and especially “Truth” exist!!! ????? Like I said, I still love the album and it’s “good”, last time I checked that was a positive critique! ? Oh and it’s MY opinion, it can’t me “wrong”!!! ??
  20. I LOVE “All For You”! ? First CD I ever purchased but let’s be real, it’s not a great album but a good one none the less. Janet started to lose it here musically but the singles and tracks like “Trust A Try”, “Better Days”, “Come On Get Up” and “You Ain’t Right” Give me SOOOOO much life! It’s honestly that last “Janet” album to me until “Unbreakable”. Now if you want to see shade, let’s talk about the album that came after.....??
  21. Personally, I have no problems with an EP at this piont but Janet, when she’s at her best, has created some of the most epic and integral albums to music history!!! “Control”-“The Velvet Rope” were straight classics and “Unbreakable” was just breathtaking; both a critical and commercial success!!! It didn’t matter if there were songs that didn’t get much attention like the singles because the albums worked as a complete whole. That’s what us fans look forward to the most each new era. The next chapter/body of work that gives us insight into where she is in her life. Not just her, Madonna’s albums have always been hotly anticipated even now because of each reinvention, visually and sonically. I just want the full Janet experience with this era. With a 3 for 3 in near flawless execution in song, video and debut performance for “Made For Now”, not to mention A LOT more promotion to come, it’s just disappointing that’s all. Doesn’t mean we won’t buy multiple copies and play the hell out of it. It’s just we like those special deep cuts to that we can appreciate and wonder; even beg for Janet to perform live. Not to mention, “Made For Now” alone has some of Janet’s finest and most iconic visuals in SOOOO long and it’s a shame if a full album won’t be accompanying it with that kind of exuberant flare. I still think #JJ12 is on the way, EP or not. Even with this new team and set up for this era, I don’t think Janet has stopped making full albums just yet. ??
  22. I honestly her 2004 Super Bowl Performance was also PHENOMENAL!!! Seriously, I’ve never seen her perform “Rhythm Nation” with so fire much in her!!! That transition she did with her dancers into the walk down the steps!!!?!? ???????????? Can someone make that in a gif for me...PLEASE!!!! ????????
  23. ..........Angie....hmmmm....I think I remember u???!! ??
