  1. Black Mirror lost me on the first episode a couple years ago. That pig fucking plot was just too stupid. But, I had heard its good and I should go past that one but whatever. I am just starting episode 8 of Altered Carbon and I am enjoying it. It isn't earth shattering or award winning, but in a world where we are getting Murphy's law Reboot, Charmed reboot, Magnum PI and Cagney and Lacey reboot orders.... At least Netflix is trying to adapt fresh material that isn't a reboot or another procedural. I am here for it.

  3. ‘Black Panther’ Fandango Pre-Sales Outpacing All Superhero Movies Disney-Marvel’s “Black Panther” is outpacing all superhero movies in advance ticket sales for Fandango’s online tickets service, eclipsing 2016’s “Batman v Superman.” Fandango reported Wednesday that “Black Panther” had topped daily ticket sales in the wake of its world premiere and first screenings on Monday night — even though it doesn’t open in theaters until Feb. 16. According to a Fandango survey of more than 1,000 “Black Panther” moviegoers: 97% are looking forward to a different kind of superhero movie; 95% look forward to the film’s positive messages; 93% said they couldn’t wait to see Chadwick Boseman in his own “Black Panther” movie after seeing him in “Captain America: Civil War;” 86% are excited to see the film’s all-female guards/warriors, the Dora Milaje; and 85% are intrigued by the film’s exotic setting in the mythical African kingdom of Wakanda. “The buzz on ‘Black Panther’ is electric,” Fandango managing editor Erik Davis said. “Early screening audiences say it is one of Marvel’s best movies ever, and the positive word-of-mouth is helping drive the movie’s spectacular advance ticket sales.” The tentpole is heading for a North American opening in the $100 million to $120 million range for the four-day Presidents Day weekend, early tracking showed on Jan. 25. That would be a similar range to the two most recent Marvel entries — “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” which launched to $117 million in its opening weekend in July, and “Thor: Ragnarok,” which debuted with $122 million on the second weekend of November. Tracking showed total awareness of “Black Panther” at 83%, unaided awareness at 35%, and definite interest at 56%.
  4. Critics and even Adele herself doesn't agree with 25 being better than Lemonade. And Adele's appeal is exactly what I said. She sold more, is commercially appealing and safe. I said that already and you are agreeing. There's no controversy with her or Taylor. No political tinge, or racial tinge at all. Super safe to vote for them/ Kendrick has a racial tinge, voters would have to get over, he has a political bent as well look at his performance that was better than anything else that night. He wasn't safe.
  5. Who said anything about this being news? All the critics and comments are just stating the obvious regarding ratings. Which is what we were discussing. Again I personally am not hating on Adele, Taylor, or Bruno. But no one was saying those were the Best albums of the year. No critic had Adele as the top and most didn't even have her in their top list. That''s not downplaying her talent or sales success. Even she recognized that in her acceptance speech.
  6. Is anyone else sick of her? I felt bad for what she went through with harassment at first. But, now she comes across as shrill, bitter, harpy. Not just about Justin. But, anyone she deems as not being truly down with the movement. Let her tell it everyone in Hollywood almost was out there holding Harvey Weinstein's dick while he assaulted all these women and EVERYONE knew. Every time someone makes a comment or a statement she comes for them saying they aren't genuine. Shes so tiring.
  7. No one is saying feel sorry for Beyonce. How many she has won doesn't negate the fact that the top awards are always for the more commercial, safer choices that appeal to the older voting bloc. Taylor Swift, Adele etc, even Bruno those were not at all the best albums of the year. But they were successful commercially, non controversial and safe.

  9. The entire format is played out. It is too long, too boring. The voting pool always goes for the safer choices in the big categories, because its an older crowd voting.

That's just opening yourself up for bad press. And they talking about they didn't have time? Those failed skits, some of them crusty slow ass performances coulda been cut.   14. I have only seen Get Out and Call me by your Name off the list so far this year. I will probably do Shape of Water next but the premise sounds weird as fuck.

  18. I'm 2 episodes behind on WD. It was boring and I'm already spoiled on what happened. I binged The Handmaids Tale over the weekend since the office was closed yesterday. That shit was good I really enjoyed it A for me. 'Blessed be the fruit'
