This basically sums it up. I can only go by recent performances and recently these three have been slaying. Babs killed "the way we were" on Oprah last month. Tina sounds good as well, but if you youtube Gladys, Babs or Donna you will see they still sound damn near the same. Chaka's recent performances have not been good. Neither have Miss Ross's. And she's actually my fave on that list. Aretha sounded good when she sang for obama in 08, but not as good as she did in her prime.

I love Pink, but that house is overpriced. It is what it is. She could have spent that same price and got a bigger house in the valley, westwood or brentwood. But those neiborhoods aren't as secluded as Malibu. So I understand why she did it.

The 11 million was for the location. The house itself is nice but that structure is not worth 11 mill. Unfortunately california is expensive, especially for exclusive communities like Malibu. But I agree, the house is cute.

This is certainly true on the album version. On the single I'd give the edge to Monica because she had the better ablibs. Brandy's adlibs were cut back by the request of Monica's record label. It was so much drama to get that song released. But on the album/original version, Brandy gave the better vocal performance. Monica's voice has the most power, but I prefer Brandy's voice. I love both ladies though.

The dream and Tricky are song writing partners. They wrote those hits together, so niether are flops. You need to stop while you're behind.

She's right. I think its early to add Nicki Minaj to that list, but overall she has a valid point. They got folks with like two albms under their belt being treated like legends. Thats a problem.

Your statement would be true if Riri, Kesha and Taylor Swift weren't all over the radio. But all three are slaying, yet none are great vocalist. They're plausable but not great. And I say this as a fan of all three. Ciara had no promo, no real hit single and invisible videos. She was doomed from the start.

What Nicki said was true. And I'm a Kim stan. But when Ciara first came out, it was clear she was a carbon copy of Janet. Britney too. But you never catch Janet Hating on those girls. Yet Kim seems to really want to go hard on Nicki. If she was smart she would have been trying to do a collabo.

Basically. If Beyonce could handle all her promotion cost herself then she might as well be an independent artist. Cut the label out completely and collect all the profit. She won't do that because she would quickly go broke. Artist sign to major labels for promotional support and financial backing. Its that simple.

Henri is right. Janet outranks all the people above her on that list in terms of #1 R&B songs. Even if they include album positions she should still be at least # 3. And I say this as a fan of MJB, Usher, Kellz and MC. This list seems flawed.

Actually the album came out in june of 09. "Boom Boom Pow" was already dominating radio before MJ died. So its about a year and a half old. But you're right. They should wait at least another six or seven months.
