While I understand the hypocrisy that you speak of, I actually do not think it applies in this situation because when have you ever seen Janet or Mike not claim anything black? Despite singing different genres, they never forget their "blackness." JT has down right, in many cases, changed his whole appearance, speech, and songs to sound/look black. But once that incident happened, he ran back to the safety of his ethnicity. I guess most people are angry that he epically ditched her and had the nerve to try and gain the support of the black community.

I'm absolutely loving this thread!! I'm imagining Janet being a total bad ass freak and human just like the rest of us. She could totally have a "cut buddy" with no strings attached. And because she's so publicly humble, she can hush her men/women into silence. It's an art I tell you!

I'm gonna have to agree with the previous posts about the gayness in Janet's choreography. I miss the Tina and Shawnette choreo. It was more fluid and sensual. All of this head snapping and voguing doesn't suit Janet best. BUT, she can still pull it off.

Most women wait to make an announcement once the chances of the baby's survival and health are deemed positive/good (i.e. miscarriages are a lot more common than ppl think).

That's actually what I don't want. I know she ultimately has made a decision on the direction of the video, but I just can't with the B/W. Make me was low budget and blah. For a song like "Dammn Baby," I would've expected more production, bigger budget and COLOR! I'm also tired of the hair and pants. What would have been cool, IF I were the director of the video, is have Janet go through a hall of different sets and different costume changes while singing the lyrics. Of course each set would look and feel alongside the lyrics. And you know, her animated self would make hand gestures with a little jig while she's catwalking through each set. Then comes the breakdown with the sets crumbling down and the dancers coming together to do an ensemble. Once the breakdown is done which would include the harmonies, back to one final set. I'd cut out the last 2 chorus'. Then finally, Janet alone saying "Daaaammmnnn" and laughing with some hand/body gesture. But of course, I'm happy with anything she puts out. LoL

My point exactly! What "company" do you know of that will ask that question? "Hey, you should've thought about having a baby before working for us. Where are the wages we paid you?" Come on people. Be reasonable!

First of all, I never said it was the same. It's what you call an analogy. Look it up. As far as women working with their employer until 1 month before their due date, remember we're talking about Janet as an entertainer and performer who not only has to stand on her feet and dance, but also sing. So I think as far as physical strain, it's a lot worse for her. Who's to say that Janet is being deceitful? Do you know her? Have you talked to her? Do you know something we don't? If so, you're point may be valid. However, this is PURE speculation.

Ok so I'll pose the same question that I asked on FB to people complaining and talking about business commitments. Say you're working for a company that you started with before your girl got pregnant, where the company is paying you wages, giving you vacation, and you in turn provide labor. A few months go by and a blessing comes along where you(r) girl gets pregnant. Congrats! At that point, the company you work for HAS to give you maternity/paternity leave by law. Now that company is stuck with one less worker, less productivity, less money. They've basically lost a lot more money on you for 1-2 months. My question is how would you react if that company said, "you should've thought about having kids before you came to work here"? #crickets #hypocrites Exactly!! #Edit...I know the law doesn't apply to Janet but the analogy does so don't come at me about that.

Wow!! It surprises me how soo many fans are fuckin disappointed!! Really?! Whether you got the chance to see her or not, it's HER LIFE! For those who didn't, you're getting your money back. For those who did, but are skeptical of the announcement really need to get a life! Another really?! Who cares if she's lying or not? That's the hole she's dug for herself. I, for one, am ecstatic!! I literally screamed when she said "expanding the family." At first, my heart was beating 100 MPH because I thought she was gonna say something terrible about her health or her family. But I'm relieved and extremely happy.

I'm not gonna lie. I do miss the costume changing. In fact, I'd say All for You is her last best tour. Everything about that era was so colorful and lively. The HBO special, interviews, and performances were just ! But, I'd still pay to see her regardless of what she's wearing; as long as I get to see her, she's healthy and happy.

I'm here also from janet.club. I was on there for 8 years but rarely posted anything. I'm mostly an observer. LoL I even messaged Mikel about being selfish by not offering to pass the site on to someone willing to pay for it but no response. Idk. I like this site anyway.

I actually have never been a fan of hardcore Janet. I like sensual Janet (Funny How..., Someday is Tonight, The Body that Loves You, Anytime Anyplace, Anything, Twenty Foreplay, 70's Love Groove, China Love, When We Oooo, Truly, Take Care, Love2Love, Let Me Know, Curtains). I love these songs cuz she gives you just enough to stimulate your imagination. The in your face sexual conquests never appealed to me. I like her play on words with her sensual songs.
