  1. totally get what you're saying.. But idk I still feel like the name "Janet" is somewhat unique.. It's not "Sally" or "Linda" or "Maggie".. Growing up Janet was the only Janet I had ever heard of.. And then when I actually met another Janet in real life, I was thrown for a loop lol..
  2. so then you're doubting the words that came from her own lips..? thats all I'm trying to figure out.. It's just I haven't known u to doubt any official statement from Janet, herself.. You usually go off "facts" and not personal feelings.. Seems so out of character for you bruh..
  3. So what you're actually saying is that you, yourself, Norman/Game does NOT believe that what Janet is telling her fans will actually materialize (the return of the Unbreakable Tour)..?? You...? Out of all people on here..don't believe her..? Stunning turn of events we've exposed here.....
  4. Let's see.. There's Janet Jackson and then there's Janet Reno.. If you were to randomly say the name "Janet" I'd be willing to bet most people over the age of 21 would automatically think of Jackson... Unless they have a relative or friend named Janet, too..
  5. Then why are you still reading and responding, Norm..?
  6. The point I made had to have flown over your head, Norm.. the August date that you had tix to wasn't always meant for August, correct? therefore, when it was originally announced (months ago) that the date you had purchased tickets to was being moved to August, you were then legally able to obtain a refund up until a week before the show was to take place (in August).. That was your legal right as spelled out in Ticketmaster's fine print.. These new postponements/cancellations haven't even been relayed to the powers that be (Ticketmaster, LiveNation), thus everyone now knows they are getting no show from Janet, but are unable to get a refund processed at this point, when it should've been squared away already before she told everyone she ain't doin it.. Do you now understand why your situation is different from others around here..?
  7. Way to avoid actually answering the question that was posed to you, bruh.. ??
  8. Bruh, you had tickets for an August date... A date that had already been previously rescheduled.. You could have gotten a refund weeks/months ago.. Just because it's all peaches and cream for Norman, doesn't make it so for everyone else..
  9. Norm, I appreciate your passion for always looking at the brighter side of things, and the fact that you're such a staunch supporter of Janet and seemingly every career move she's ever made.. but you have over 27k posts (just on this messageboard)... You can't honestly say that each one of those posts was about a topic you knew 100% about and that all of those comments you've made over the years have contained absolutely 0% speculation or assumption.. Can you..?
  10. I was born in 1984... in no particular order, my top 3 favs are: - State of Shock - Somebody's Watching Me - Ghostbusters nobody said they had to be good songs...right? ?
  11. I'm reminded that in the video, Janet did say that she wanted us, the fans, to know first!! this thought crossed my mind, and yes it's pure speculation: What if since LiveNation reportedly pulled the plug on the Europe shows without telling Janet, she's now done the same thing to LiveNation regarding the US leg..?!
  12. wow it's like you jumped into my brain, copied my thoughts and then took them as your own.. I agree with every single word in this post! ??
  13. well what's obvious to me is that she should've had this planned out so that once she tells the world that she ain't performing anymore, tickets should be automatically refunded within 24 hours of that announcement.. cuz now she is forcing TM and most likely LiveNation also to play catch-up and get this all squared away.. Something that could've easily been avoided had she gotten this squared away, say, last week maybe..
  14. Just as a little funny anecdote.. my wife and I went to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live a while ago.. It was the episode that Oprah was on and gave a way a new car to some randomly chosen audience member (not us tho!).. And The Wanted was the musical guest.. Then they were about to introduce the musical guest.. Everyone was getting the stage setup and all that.. Then the band started to walk out and take their spots along their respective instruments, and when that happened my wife and I cheered hella loud (thinking this was The Wanted) and everyone looked at us like wtf?! Lol.. we realized once The Wanted actually took the stage that they were a 5-member boy band and we had never heard of them up until that point..
  15. You know dude normally got a unibrow.. I can tell just by looking at them ?? he's got above his eyes.. ?
  16. idk who made this or where it came from, but I found this on Twitter and it's gooood.. It's my favorite track from 20Y-NO and it actually made me like it even more! loads of unheard vocals! almost makes me less bitter bout what's been going on with her..
  17. So I just got off the phone with Ticketmaster.. and wooooow...! ? They are NOT happy with Jan at all.. ? dude from customer service chuckled when I told him I was calling about getting a refund because Janet Jackson publically announced she was delaying her tour dates.. He already knew the situation, he said he's been getting call after call about people wanting their money back for their Janet tickets.. He sounded really agitated too (not with me, but with the whole situation).. dude said that what Janet is trying to do is what Lil Wayne did recently on one of his tours.. He said Wayne went on his Twitter and announced that he was done with his tour, mid-tour, and that he wasn't going to do anymore shows.. The problem with that is Wayne never told any of his promoters he was quitting and he was still legally contracted to fulfill these shows, and thusly ended up still doing a lot of the shows he said he wasn't going to (after negotiations to drop some shows).. the TM guy said this is exactly what Janet is trying to do.. In fact, he said to me verbatim: "she's trying to force these cancellations" ? He went on to explain that normally, artists who are contracted with their promoters to do these shows do not announce that their bowing out until after signing the agreement with their promoters, production company and ticket distributors that the cancellation/postponement may occur.. he said she's doing this ass-backwards and that her video announcing the delay was the first, and so far only, steps she has taken to reschedule/cancel any of her remaining dates, and that she is making it look really bad for her in regards to any possible future endeavors/tours.. Especially since she has cancelled so many shows already.. you guys.. I don't knoow.. It's legitimately possible that the TM dude was just fed-up dealing wih Janet fans asking for refunds and that he was just spewing his own feelings.. But he wasn't saying to me it like all that was his opinions, he said these are the things that he and his co-workers are being told by their higher-ups... So basically, no refunds until janet and her team have officially notified and come to an agreement with TM of the delay.. take all this info anyway ya want to... But I can't say any it is hard to believe..
  18. I'm on hold with Ticketmaster right now.. I'll let you know what the end result is!
  19. He said at one point a long time ago that the Janet album is what gave him the funds to go out and buy his own private island! Lol
  20. yuuuuup agree 100%!! I predict that she will no longer be touring after this... If she were to ever take the stage again, at this point, with this many cancellations and postponements (at some cities/venues this is the 3rd time with the last year!!), it will most definitely have to be Vegas.. who are we kidding? shiiiit who is Janet kidding?? unfortuantely she's no longer able to fill large venues/arenas if it's not LA, NY or SF.. At least not without promotion.. At least we got one of her best albums ever, and i did get to see her in concert for the first (and only) time.. I'll await my refund for the concord date and bid miss Jackson farewell.... (unless she announces another tour, in that case I would still buy tickets )
  21. Look imma pull a 180 right now.. Ultimately 5,10 years from now not many people will remember her cancelling these shows (myself included).. What people will remember is the fact that she's a mom, something that's completely foreign to her... Legitimately something she's never done before, unlike touring.. So in that regards, it's pretty damn exciting, sure.. I remember when I held my daughter for the first time.. My wife had a C-section, so after she was born the nurses cleaned her up, took her weight and measurements, then wrapped her in a blanket and handed her to me.. While they put my wife back together, they had me wait in the hallway for a good 15 mins, and this was the OR wing of the hospital, so the hall was completely empty... And for those 15 mins I spent with my newborn little girl, distraction-free, I'll cherish forever.. I made some promises in those minutes that I'll keep until the day I die.. having a child (especially for the first time ever) is an almost out-of-body experience, life changing in every sense of the word... I know my fellow parents around here can attest to that.. im genuinely happy for her, and although disappointed it put a halt to seemingly everything in her career, who knows...? She could still film non-dance videos perhaps.. Listen to the lyrics of "Take Me Away" with her being pregnant in mind.. It takes on a new meaning! She could commemorate this new chapter in her life by appearing as her pregnant self in a video for TMA! do I think it's gonna happen??.... NOPE! but it's fun to imagine right....?! .....yea I'm pretty lit
