shiiiiit when I saw Janet last October in SF, all I could smell during the second half of the show was some daaaank!! If I didn't have my kid with me, I would've tracked it down, or brought my own.. and I was in the front row so I have little doubt that Janet and the dancers couldn't smell it also, especially with those fans blowing it all into her face lol..

I don't think there really is a way to get ALL the videos (Janet's or Mike's mastered in HD).. Most of them were filmed back when everything was filmed on VHS, then edited on VHS for standard definition viewing (the norm back in those days).. Also, all the special effects were rendered using SD software, so if the videos were to be re-mastered in HD, the effects would need to be completely redone also (like, from scratch).. And that would be AFTER they rescanned every master source and re-edited every shot, frame by frame (and that's assuming they can track down every original reel, VHS tape, etc).. However there is a handful of videos (from both Janet and Mike) that either were shot on 35mm film or digitally.. These were either shot with a (limited) theatrical release in mind, or shot natively in 1080p HD (mostly the more recent videos).. The videos I can think of off the top of my head that could most likely be released in HD without much remastering are pretty much anything from 2004 onwards in regards to Janet.. In regards to Mike though, it's much different.. He was using 35mm film reels throughout much of the 80's (before VHS cassettes became the standard): Thriller, Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Dirty Diana can all be easily remastered and released on HD bluray format (if the estate ever decides to do so)... There are short clips of these videos in full glorious 1080p High Definition on the "Moonwalker" bluray and they look sooooo good! It's like seeing them for the first time all over again!! In the 90's, Mike started filming his videos onto VHS and editing them together on that format, so unfortunately, those probably won't ever be able to get an HD release (Scream included). His video for You Rock My World was filmed digitally, so that could one day see an HD release (but that video sucks donkey dick)..

I would expect it to mostly be up to the states to legalize it (as it is now), but with having it at least removed from the Schedule 1 narcotics federal list, I believe it will have a better/faster chance of legalization in mainstream society.. Plus there wouldn't be as harsh of penalties for what already shouldn't be considered a crime..

there is absolutely no legit reason why it's still federally seen as a schedule 1 narcotic (same as heroine and meth!).. Makes zero sense.. ? and you're right.. There's billions and billions in tax dollars just ready for the taking.. Just look at Colorado and Washington! They've made so much $ just in the last year from legalized weed.. and the fact that alcohol and tobacco is fully legal and there's still a stigma regarding marijuana is insane imo.. ? although I feel this is a generational issue and within the next couple decades I expect the US to have it fully legalized (another reason why I'm feeling the Bern!).. ?

So who else here is a regular cannabis partaker? now before any of ya'll get all conservative on me, yes, I do use cannabis daily. No I'm not a criminal, no I'm not a thief, no I'm not a junkie.. I'm fortunate to live in the great state of California and have legally obtained a prescription/recommendation from a legitimate Doctor (the reasons why are nobody's concern).. I have a handful of cannabis dispensaries I go to when I'm in need.. I don't have a particular strain of choice and my preference varies from club to club, but I use sativas during the day, and indacas at night (usually).. I also love edibles, especially at places you can't noticiably smoke or vape (like on an airplane or at Disneyland!).. It really makes a lot of somewhat boring scenarios much MUCH more enjoyable and tolerable... anyone else?

yes: a disservice... meaning if you went out and spent money on a high definition tv and don't watch high definition content, then you are not getting the full experience that you paid for (hence: disservice).. that's like going out and buying a Ferrari, but never driving it over 25mph.. is it the end of the world? Of course not.. But just because you can see "shit clearly" doesn't mean you aren't missing out.. oh and btw, the next wave of in-home technology is VR (virtual reality)... Saw it a 2nd time... LIKED IT EVEN MORE! its better when you go into the movie managing your expectations.. When I saw it the 2nd time, I obviously knew what was going to happen and what wasn't going to happen, so it was easier to sit back and pick up all the plot details and clues and Easter eggs I had missed the first time I saw it.. ultimately, I don't feel this movie deserves the way low Rotten Tomatoes score it's receiving... It's actually pretty good.. A little congested, but still really good!

The last video I was most excited about was Feedback.. The song had been out for months before the video dropped, I had built it up in my head for a while! I wanted a video for that song so bad that I couldn't even wait, and I went ahead and edited together a montage video for myself (and YouTube).. As of right now it has over 350k views... Once I eventually saw the real video, I'm not gonna lie, I was felt somewhat letdown.. Now I thoroughly enjoy the video, but at the time, I wanted more dancing towards the beginning of the video (and I also felt the dancing was semi-weakish). But really that video was dope and the practical effects were siiick the way they did it..

I'm a tech-head... It's very noticiable to me. About 6 times noticiable.. If you have yourself an HD/flatscreen TV and you're only using standard definition DVDs, your doing yourself a disservice..

I think Will.I.Am did a fkn superb job on the beat for Fergie's "Clumsy"... It's a dooope beat even still..
