Bailey
I think I really want to join the army, I already have a degree and that means my rank will be higher. I don't know what pay I would get. I could pursue more school too. I told my mom she said they won't take me because I'm flat foot outta shape and limp wristed. Im still researching online they say I could go off as soon as I want. You pick a job you prefer and wait....theres a physical, testing and boot camp, if anyone knows about joining let me know what to expect
Rock & Roll Hall of Game
aren't you too old to be "enlisting" they don't care about you being gay.. but the rest is true http://usmilitary.about.com/od/joiningthemilitary/a/enlage.htm how old are you? One would think that age to enlist in the US military would be a simple category. One is either old enough, or too old, right? Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work that way. By federal law (10 U.S.C., 505), the minimum age for enlistment in the United States Military is 17 (with parental consent) and 18 (without parental consent). The maximum age is 35. Active Duty None-Prior ServiceArmy - 35 (must ship to basic training prior to 35th birthday. The Army experimented with raising the age limit to age 42 for a brief period of time, but effective April 1st, 2011, the Army has reverted to the lower age limit.Air Force - 27Navy - 34Marines - 28Coast Guard - Age 27. Note: up to age 32 for those selected to attend A-school directly upon enlistment (this is mostly for prior service).Reserve Non-Prior ServiceArmy Reserves - 35 (must ship to basic training prior to 35th birthday)Army National Guard - 35 (changed from 42 in 2009)Air Force Reserve - 34Air National Guard - 40 (Changed from 34 in Aug 2009)Naval Reserves - 39Marine Corps Reserve - 29Coast Guard Reserves - Age 39 I guess you can join the Air National Guard reserves, Coast Guard reserves, or the Naval Reserves

Rock & Roll Hall of Game
I don't want to be the reason u didn't but the purpose of enlisting at 35+ is kinda pointless... Unless you're looking for young tail or the benefits (I suppose) but with you being flat footed and outta shape... Is it worth it to be in the reserves and go thru boot camp

The military is really downsizing since their really isn't anything going on in Afghan/Iraq. You have a degree so that's a good sign. If it's a 4 year degree, your rank will start off as a Specialist. I think it just depends on your experience..What's your degree in?
