Some of the jokes they use are rooted in truth, and there's always some truth in jokes. And I think what makes it funny is that we know it's true. The fact that some of the characters are walking stereotypes, there's a number of political statements made, etc are all proof that it's just for comedy. That show would not be as entertaining without them two. They're the comic relief of the show. I think the show will be on for years to come.
