If there's only been talk of them maybe getting together or the two simply dated, then there is no "stealing" going on. You can't steal what isn't mutually agreed upon as belonging to another. Plus, how can you "steal someone's man/woman"? They're a human being that can think and speak for themselves. If they wanna leave, they will leave. It doesn't have an official "he's mine," etc. If you're taking a man/woman from your friend, I would at least ask them/inform them that you're interested in the man/woman they're dating if you want to keep the friendship.
