  1. YES! Any word on which songs are being performed or is that still top secret?
  2. At my age, Janet was doing this stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Jackson#2010.E2.80.9314:_Film_projects.2C_True_You.2C_concert_tour.2C_and_philanthropy
  3. "No Sleeep", with its languid downtempo slink, offers a similar sensuality; her delivery is husky, understated, coyly discreet, refraining from those moments of falsetto. But in attitude, it's miles away from stuff like "Empty". Toying with the imagined details of a weekend spent "doing whatever" (wink), Jackson exudes a calm, confident glow—the self-possessed freedom Velvet Rope Jackson only imagined. It's a study in grace, and the ultimate expression of summer lust: you can feel the humidity in your hair, the sweaty sheets, and the relief as Jackson’s quiet storm becomes literal as a summer rain. http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/17544-janet-jackson-no-sleeep/
  4. I love the way Janet looks when she's not wearing make-up. Very Charlene DuPrey.
  5. That movie was SO good. It was on cable the other day. And you're right: Leon OWNED.
  6. 2. She’s a natural born feminist. With her song “Nasty”, she gave girls who were surrounded by cat calls and aggressive men the courage to demand respect. More: http://www.buzzfeed.com/jdjfan1814/what-makes-a-legendicon-popularity-or-impact-ja-w2xx
  7. 8. When she taught us there was no time for people who thought they were all that. LOL! More here: http://www.gadgette.com/2015/06/23/ten-times-janet-jackson-totally-bossed-it/
  8. Of all fans/stans, Michael Jackson's seem to me to be the most...unstable. They seem legitimately unwell and worship Michael as though he were an actual god rather than just a groundbreaking entertainer. They scare me.
  9. Mary J. Blige is jamming to it too: https://instagram.com/p/4RT4lApnvx/?taken-by=thesonofbaldwin :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
  10. Hm. I don't know. I don't think she should flood the market. I think she should let "No Sleeep" run its course before hitting us with the next release. "No Sleeep" might turn out to be quite the sleeper hit, no pun intended.
  11. I keep seeing some place refer to it as Unbreakbale and people on Twitter refer to it as Conversations in a Cafe. But all material from Janet's team says the album is as of yet untitled. Any clue on when we'll know officially?
  12. Strategically, it makes sense for them to have three current/millenial artists pay homage to Janet because it illustrates to the younger generation just how far and wide Janet's influence extends. I know a lot of us wanted more seasoned performers or more acclaimed performers, but try to see this from the perspective of a 14 year old who is really into Tinashe or Ciara or Jason. They are about to have an Aha moment on Sunday. And to that I say: GREAT!
  13. Tinashe is a pretty decent singer and performer. And she looooooooooooooves Janet:

  15. I'm gonna predict Tinashe is doing "Control," Jason Derulo is doing "Alright" or "Rhythm Nation," and Ciara is doing "If."
  16. The Battle of the Lessers has officially BEGUN! Ciara and Tinashe stands are fighting over who is more deserving to tribute Janet. https://twitter.com/search?q=CIARA%20tinashe%20sales&src=typd http://thatgrapejuice.net/2015/06/tinashe-ciara-fans-battle-twitter-following-janet-jackson-tribute-announcement/
