  1. I love the little bit of strength she gives us in the vocals toward the middle. Ah. This is sung so sweetly. Come on through, Ms. Janet. Come on, through! *EAGER*
  2. I posted this yesterday and Game snatched ALL of my edges. LOL! He said that this is a clip from a guy who is, apparently, posting a number of clips claiming, each time, that it's the new Janet song. Sorry.
  3. Oh that not it, either? My bad. Sorry. Don't know who's harmed by posting a wrong snippet though. And I was only trying to keep the forum updated. Thanks for confirming for me, though.
  4. Ya'll wanna hear a snippet of "No Sleeep? http://sonofbaldwin.tumblr.com/post/121627190849/janetjacksons-no-sleeep-snippet
  5. Janet is selling her own CDs. I wonder how she's going to do digital. She basically said, "I'm doing my own accounting, chile. I give zero fucks about you and your charts." LOL!
  6. No NYC for the first leg of the tour? Aiight. I'm ready for the second, then. LOL!
  7. Pre-ordered! I actually tried to upgrade the shipping to guaranteed release date delivery, but it automatically put me back to standard shipping when I submitted the order. Ah well! Still super-excited for Janet! Unbreakable, baby. Almost sounds like am homage to Michael.
  8. LOL! Stop. No tribute artists is ever as legendary as the artist they are tributing.
  9. Be nice, Game! LOL! I only mentioned Britney as someone who could dance.
  10. As janetDAYZ said, I don't understand why some of you don't want Ciara as part of the tribute. As far as I can see, it's only Ciara, Tinashe, and Beyonce who can perform choreography well. (Yes, I purposely left Britney out). Maybe Janelle Monae. I'd personally love to see a tribute from all of those ladies (not Britney), each taking on a classic Janet song, like Janelle, Alicia, Patti, and Esperanza did for Prince.
  11. Maybe Drake? I heard his song with Tinashe and I liked it. His albums are usually well produced. So yeah, maybe Drake.
  12. This person was also on So You Think You Can Dance?
  13. I got my whole life. LOL! This appeared on the local news in Jackson, Mississippi, WLBT 3 On Your Side. It's not staged, but the person in the video took full advantage of their moment in the spotlight.
  14. "Can't Be Stopped" baby! #StrongEnough Nothing's gonna stop us We can't be stopped I know that it's not been easy Trying to make it in this crazy world People 'round you try to stop you Stomp you saying that you don't belong You must remember that We were born with blood of kings and queens And can't be stopped Stay stronger my sister you can't be stopped No, you can't be stopped I know that sometimes You get to feelin' I've given up on you The pressure seems to, to defeat you Beat you when you feel you can't go on You must remember that You were born with blood of kings and queens And can't be stopped Stay stronger my brother you can't be stopped No, you can't be stopped Don't ever let nobody tell you you ain't strong enough Strong enough, don't let nobody tell you you ain't Strong enough, don't let nobody tell you You know that I will be right here To remind you that we need Togetherness, 'cause lost pride Has no room, if you don't forget Where you come from
  15. A 'younger gene' has been identified by scientists with black people twice as likely to have it than their white counterparts. Harvard scientists led a study involving almost one million people with private genetic database 23andMe and found one in ten white and a fifth of black Americans carry the 'genetic recipe' for youthful skin. Researchers working on Olay's largest ever study, believe its presence can result in people looking up to 10 years younger than they actually are. 16. Jarrylf said Beyonce's real name is Xerox Work Centre 3325.
  17. I got these from @tdroberson74 on Twitter. I'm not understanding the unadulterated steam pressedness.
  18. "No Sl333p" and "Plush" huh? Both sound kinda sexy. Points for Janet using "fait accompli" in a song lyric.
  19. I'm getting a lot of pushback on that "arguably the first African-American woman to start her own record label." People are telling me that Betty Carter had Bet-Car records; Solange has Saint Records; Mariah Carey had two labels, MonarCh Records and Mirage Records; Sylvia Robinson had Sugar Hill Records.... What do y'all thnk about that?
