  1. Dominique Battiste “I am truly blessed and honored to have this opportunity to work with Janet Jackson and I thank her and Gil for believing in me. The fact that I will dance and be mentored by an ICON not only as an Entertainer but as a Strong, Hard Working Black Woman is only going to inspire me to be that and better.”
  2. Okay, so now I am back to having to watch the awards. LOL! If I watch and there's no Janet Jackson honoring, I'ma be so pissed that I wasted my time.
  3. Susan Boyle and her millions of albums sold said that this is not factual.
  4. It's almost like you want it to fail because it's not the upbeat song you wanted. Why not just wish her success and be done with it? Is it because if it doesn't become a number 1 smash, you want to be able to say "See? I was right!"? Come on, homie. Celebrate with us. Don't be a buster.
  5. Miguel's song "Adorn" sold 2 million copies. A number 1 R&B song. Ain't nothing to sneeze at.
  6. Janet is targeting adults, the people who actually spend money on music rather than illegally download it. I don't blame her.
  7. I don't think Janet is worried about radio or charts. I think sales are where she's focused and she's been using alternate channels to solicit those sales. She seems to be trying a new model. No one listens to radio anymore, anyway. I haven't listened to the radio in YEARS. Let's just focus on helping her to trend and to sell.
  8. I remember in 1993 when people said that TTWLG was going to bomb because people expect huge, uptempo songs for Janet. But the song went on to be one of her most successful #1 singles.
  9. I think this is what she's saying: It's fait accompli We ain't gonna get no sleeep. A vision running 'round in my head But I don't really talk about it I'm loving what you're doing to me And I don't wanna do without it Day and night I dream of us doing whatever But I guess I'll have to wait Until that day comes
  10. Mishay Petronelli “I am humbled beyond words to have the opportunity to dance with Janet Jackson on tour. I feel like I’m dreaming. Janet is an icon. An innovator. A revolutionary. She is a risk taker and a record breaker, and she changed the music industry forever. She is beautiful, powerful, brilliant and an exceptional artist. And on top of all that, she is an incredible human being, the kind of woman I aspire to be. It is truly an honor to be a part of her legacy and be around her spirit. I have been dancing to her music since I was a little girl… I only wish my mom was still here with us to see it. This is my biggest dream come true and I am forever grateful.”
  11. Melanie Mah “It’s difficult to express in words how ecstatic and grateful I feel as I realize that I am going on a world tour with Janet Jackson. Dancing for Janet has always been my number one dream, and I am incredibly excited to embark on a journey with an icon who has inspired me so much as an artist. All this happening just makes me want to remind everyone in the world that absolutely no dream is too big. Believe in your dreams… they really do come true.”
  12. Look. Me and you been there since the VERY BEGINNING. We know wassup. LOL!
  13. I'll give it a go: It's fait accompli We ain't gonna get no sleeep. A vision running 'round in my head But I don't really talk about it I'm loving what you're doing to me And I don't wanna do without it Day and night I dream of us doing whatever But I guess I'll have to wait Until that day comes
  14. Bianca Brewton “Touring with Janet is beyond anything that I could have imagined! She is the ultimate ICON and I still can’t believe that I have this opportunity to dance with her! This is the most amazing experience ever!!! I am so grateful and humble, thank you Janet for making all of my dreams come true♥!” http://janetjackson.com/news/all/meet-janets-dancers
  15. I can't stop listening to it. I have the same excitement for this song that I had for "That's the Way Love Goes" when the album version first hit radio. I sense a hit.
  16. Oh, this is groovy. This is that classic, sultry, sensual R&B that Janet perfected. I am absolutely feeling this groove.
  17. Ah, so it's confirmed that the album is called Unbreakable also. I like that it's connected to her indomitable will. It reminds me of what she said at that Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards: "Black women possess an indestructible strength that allows us not only to get down, but to get up, get through, and get over." Yaaassssss, J!
  18. I don't ever want to be famous. That paparazzi stuff really irks my nerves. The noise, the yelling. UGH. More power to Janet for being able to endure that nonsense, though.
  19. Because lesbian eroticism is out of the picture? If anything, a girl-on-girl "If" would be much edgier and risque.
  20. Or an intro, like "Morning" was the intro to "That's the Way Loves Goes."
