  1. To be fair to YawnYawn, it's a song for her character in an animated movie. Sia didn't have much to work with.
  2. I like it. It's got those classic Beyonce runs that I live for. The melody and harmonies are on point as well. Sia did a great job writing this song.
  3. Ok, so can he release a radio edit version of Tunnel Vision now? I'm not here for the unnecessary 3 extra minutes.
  4. Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' Rushes To No. 1 in U.K. Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” (Interscope/Universal), featuring TI and Pharrell Williams, has smashed the rapidly-changing record for the U.K.’s fastest-selling single of the year. With sales last week of 190,000, it dramatically raised the bar of 145,000 set on the previous chart by “La LaLa” (Virgin/Universal) by Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith, which now falls to No. 2. Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” (Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment) started a second week atop the album chart, with 53,000 new sales for a two-week total of 218,000. “Blurred Lines” thus easily becomes the biggest single in the U.K. for U.S. soulman Thicke, whose only previous showing was the No. 11 success “Lost Without U” in 2007. It’s also the second chart-topper to feature Williams in three weeks, following his appearance on Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” which dipped 2-3 on the new list. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/1565609/robin-thickes-blurred-lines-rushes-to-no-1-in-uk-daft-punk-retain-albums-chart
  5. Charice Pempengco Confirms She's a Lesbian Charice Pempengco has nothing to hide. After months of chatter about her sexuality, the former Glee singer proudly and publicly confirmed that she is, in fact, a lesbian. The revelation came during an interview on Sunday, June 2, with Boy Abunda, host of the Filipino showbiz show The Buzz. Asked by Abunda whether the rumors about her sexual orientation are true, Charice took her time answering. Then, smiling, she said simply, "Opo, tomboy po ako," which means "Yes, I am a lesbian." Relieved but emotional -- at one point during the interview, she broke down in tears -- the 21-year-old international star added, "Now I feel free. I can go out of the house without fear and be certain that I'm not stepping on anybody's toes." http://www.usmagazin...-lesbian-201336 Good for her. It's a shame her career hasn't gone anywhere though. Oprah and David kept pushing her to be Celine's successor. lol She does have a great voice though.
  6. http://www.iheartradio.com/player/?mid=23229655 This song is sooooo smooth and sexy. I love it.
  7. Ultraviolet What the fuck was that shit? I usually find something to like about a movie, but this was a complete mess.
  8. Adele's '21' Scales Top 40 Longevity List This week, Adele's "21" spends its 118th consecutive week in the top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart -- its entire chart run -- as the set dips from No. 36 to No. 40. In doing so, the title inches closer to the Nielsen SoundScan-era record for the most weeks spent in the top 40, set by Shania Twain's "Come On Over" (127 weeks). Since SoundScan started powering the Billboard 200 chart on May 25, 1991, "Come On Over" rules the record books as the longest-running album in the top 40, with 127 weeks. That total also happens to be consecutive, dating from its debut on Nov. 22, 1997 (No. 2). "Come On Over" spent 151 weeks on the chart in total. It last appeared on the tally dated Oct. 7, 2000. "Come On Over" is one of only eight albums to notch 100 weeks or more in the top 40 in the SoundScan era (see chart, below). With "21" continuing to rack up chart weeks, it could well surpass Twain's record in the next few months. Albums With Most Weeks in Top 40 on Billboard 200 (SoundScan Era): Title - Artist - Weeks in Top 40 - Release Year Come On Over - Shania Twain - 127 - 1997 Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift - 126 - 2006 All the Right Reasons - Nickelback - 122 - 2005 21 - Adele - 118 - 2011 Sigh No More - Mumford & Sons - 104 - 2010 The Fame - Lady Gaga - 102 - 2008 Ten - Pearl Jam - 100 - 1992 Come Away With Me - Norah Jones - 100 – 2002 http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/1565583/adeles-21-scales-top-40-longevity-list How is it still seling? I don't want her to pass Shania for this record.
  9. Ugh @ the title of the thread. I immediately thought of the cute white boy I remember from the Discipline era.
  10. Rihanna Earns Sixth Million-Selling Album Pop diva Rihanna scores her sixth million-selling album in the U.S. this week, as her latest release, "Unapologetic," sails past the million mark, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "Unapologetic," released late last year, sold another 9,000 (down 17%) in the week ending May 26, bringing its to-date total to slightly more than 1 million. The set -- her seventh studio album -- also became her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following six earlier top 10 entries. In reaching the threshold in its 27th chart week on the Billboard 200 (falling 33-39 this week), "Unapologetic" is selling at a faster clip than her previous album, 2011's "Talk That Talk." The latter took 43 frames to reach 1 million. Of Rihanna's seven studio releases, all but one have sold a million. Only her debut, 2005's "Music of the Sun," has missed the mark, moving 607,000 to date. Her biggest selling set is 2007's "Good Girl Gone Bad," with 2.8 million. Her total album sales stand at 9.8 million. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/1565445/rihanna-earns-sixth-million-selling-album If anything, she's pretty consistent.
  11. She better rack up those views for Billboard. Whoever planned this is smart.
  12. As much as I love Xtina, she's not very likeable on the show... Sasha's voice is amazing. The tone, the power... EVERYTHING. I hope she has a successful career after this, whether she wins or not. Yes, Judith is very talented. But like I touched on before, the constant MJ reminder really annoyed me, almost to the point where it turned me off from her a little. The producers probably wanted to milk that for all it was worth, but it was too much. I don't know if there was ever an episode where they didn't mention Michael Jackson.
  13. http://youtu.be/2QqNLDrJGB4 A part of me really wants to like it cuz I'm a fan of Sean, but it doesn't look very promising.
  14. Happy birthday, ray-ray!
  15. Aw. So... Did she plan to cry? The band just kinda stopped during that part.
  16. I love Shakira on the show. I prefer her over Xtina. Sasha needs to win. I love her voice. I'm surprised Judith got eliminated. Since her first audition, it felt like this season was set up for her to win. The way they always brought up MJ was annoying.
