She doesn't have an official single, The general public does not know her and the response to her music on the urban blogs that do know her has been mixed. She's trying to follow the career trajectory of Nicki Minaj, but some people think her songs are throwing shade at Nicki. One minute she loves kim and the next she's dissing her. But Laface was pretty much the Motown of the 90s. Toni, Usher, TLC, Donnell Jones, Goodie Mob, Outkast, Pebbles, Pink and Ciara were all signed to laface. Uptown had a strong roster as well, but they didn't have the crossover appeal Laface had. To be honest Laface help put Atlanta on the map as a urban entertainment hot spot as well. Much of the attention Atlanta gets today comes from how huge Laface was in the 90s.

When Adele can sing opera like Jill did on her storyteller two weeks ago then compare the two. I like Adele a lot, but she don't want it with Jill.

Pretty much When a white person does music that is marginally soulful they get praised beyond beleif. But if black artist do R&B its ignored because its expected. That's the problem with Brandy's theory. There are already R&B artist who "know how to do R&B", who are doing R&B and they're being ignored by the general public. So to stay successful, the ones with crossover appeal turn to pop.
