Well the discussions opened back up since this is the 20th anniversary of the murders and the chase, so I wonder what your thoughts are

 

Mine:.................HE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DID IT. No doubt lol. Growing up in predominately black  neighborhoods  & in my family I grew up with all the conspiracies of "HE WAS FRAMED", and as a kid I just went along with it, until I learned the details, when learning about the abuse, that he was stalking her, all the evidence, allllllll the stab wombs, it's a passion thing and it was a personal thing, to me it's beyond reasonable doubt, Im amazed he didn't go to jail for it, And amazed at how much of a dumbass he's been since then so much so that he ended up in jail anyway. He got away with murder..........literally, and gon end up in jail for robbery? #Dumbshit.

My point of view on that is with it being after Rodney king, and those cops getting off, and being taught collectively as a people "The System is against you", for him to get away with murder, some viewed as 1 step closser to equality. That's how I see it, but Im a lil disgraced when I watch footage of the verdict and most of the shots of black people was like it's the best thing that ever happened to them.......a man just got away with murder......it wasn't like Casey Anthony where it wasn't beyond reasonable doubt, it was tooooo much evidence. and 1 set motive.

There is no plausible scenario where OJ could have committed the crimes, unnoticed, and with as little DNA as was found in such a bloody and atrocious murder where there was no evidence of him being involved in combat though Ron Goldman had visible signs of a fight on his body.  Furthermore, nothing post-murder leads to OJ Simpson being guilty. Moreover, one of the lead detectives on the case plead the 5th on planting DNA evidence and was found guilty of impeachment.

There is no evidence to suggest he was stalking her.  There was an isolated incident of domestic abuse however at the time they were living separately and dating separately with evidence that he was cordial to her boyfriends &  even that they saw each other that evening and that everything seemed to be copacetic between the two. & of course there was no evidence which is why Fuhrman had to plant evidence.

Because he got dumped by someone else; it points to him being a killer? 

This stalking claim is something that was advanced by Kris Jenner, of Kardashian fame, (who also allegedly use to bust it open for OJ Simpson as well), but was never attested to by Nicole.  Nicole never took any steps to stop any kind of stalking and in fact saw OJ the night of at a play.

The knife purchase was claimed by someone who sold his story to the national inquirer or something similar for money. 

 

Right, none of that says, innocent.  Yet, none of that says guilty either which is what a prosecutor needs to prove in a court of law and which is why he was correctly found not guilty.  We can't convict people of murder because someone broke up with them.    By portraying this as "all the signs" that he did it; we are ignoring the evidence that suggests that he did not do it:

 

- Still no conceivable motive as to why he would create this crime of passion. Nicole had several boyfriends. OJ even walked in on one sexual incident happened. No crazy blow-ups.

- The timeline doesn't fit for OJ to leave his home later than 9:40 P.M., travel to Nicole's place (unnoticed in a neighborhood that he lived in for years as a high profile celebrity), kill Nicole, wrestle with Ron (all evidence on both sides conclude that Ron fought for his life), kill him, hide his bloody clothes and murder weapon so well that its never discovered, clean himself up, hop in his bronco, drive back, drop the glove at his place (STILL SOAKING WET WITH BLOOD), get his bags, meet the driver at 11 p.m.

- The glove was still soaking wet some 6 or 7 hours after the murder after it was conceivably found by Mark Furhman. If it was in such a soaked condition why didn't more blood get in the Bronco? 

- Mark Furhman (the detective who discovered a bulk of the evidence) on the stand when directly asked if he planted evidence, plead the fifth, and was later found guilty of perjury.

- The "bloodied" sock said to be found was bloodied throughout both sides consistent with a sock not being worn at all.

- No bloodied shoes found. No bloodied clothes found.  

- Whoever committed the murder killed two people by stabbing them. When did OJ had time to clean himself off without getting blood all over his home; truck; EVERYWHERE?

- OJ then went to the airport, was among people, spoke to the cabin crew, and was by all accounts normal in his actions on the plane.

- There was no signs of his alleged fight with Ron Goldman observed by any of the easily over 100 people who saw him.

- When he was photographed by police the next day; again no signs.

- The presence of EDTA in the blood samples which suggest that the blood came from some DNA vials used to preserve the blood that was not found in the blood samples from OJ Simpson's cut but was found on the gate (20 days after the murder) and on the sock..

 

That's enough for a not guilty verdict.  Not only do I think OJ is not guilty; I don't think that he committed this crime.  I do however, think that he may know or have an idea of who did commit these crimes.

 

(Also in terms of the book, If I Did It, there has been reports that he was (or was going to be/I can't remember which) paid a copious amount of money in cash to attach his name to the book though it was ghost written.  He saw no foul in it because everyone thought he committed the murders anyway and he he needed the money (because all money that he did make had to be siphoned off to the Goldmans) to support his life style. Stupid? Absolutely.

19. Nicole tells Faye Resnick, "I look at (OJ's) arms and think 'God, are these going to be the arms that kill me someday?"

85. Limo driver Park said he rang OJ's buzzer for 20 minutes without a reply, but shortly after he saw the figure going into Simpson's home, OJ answered the buzzer.

86. An expert testifies the bloody gloves would have fit OJ except that blood and moisture caused the extra-large gloves to shrink a full size.

87. OJ claims he couldn't have murdered anyone because of his old football injuries, but just before the slayings, he made an exercise video and he still plays golf on a regular basis.

88. OJ's son Jason, admits he originally thought his father was guilty.

89. OJ says blood at the murder scene came from times he played there with his children before, but the drops are close to the bloody footprints leading from the bodies.

98. OJ sobbed: "I didn't mean to do it. I didn't mean for things to turn out this way," according to Cowling's girlfriend Jennifer Peace.

99. GLOBE discovers OJ took a polygraph test before the trial and scored a minus 20, which is classified as deceptive.

100. OJ lawyer Robert Shapiro says "probably did it" is not sufficient to convict his client.

101. Prison guard Jeff Stuart in the room when OJ talked to minister Rosey Grier swears in an affidavit he heard OJ shout: "I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry."

But hey, maybe he didn't do it right.......I mean that can just be 101 insanely rare coincidences right.......but I don't believe in coincidences. So yea you can have your opinion shared by a few that he had nothing to do with the murders, but I'll let the evidence speak for itself.

 

So, 84 of those things aren't evidence or are false and tabloidable. The other 17 or so all deal with DNA which still doesn't rule out the fact that the police had OJ's blood sample from when he VOLUNTARILY gave it to them.  When asked if they planted evidence, they pled the fifth, and actual DNA evidence showed no possibility for the evidence to naturally occur.  A glove to be wet and soaked in blood from all three people almost 8 hours after the murders.. a sock that wasn't worn with blood stains but none on the carpet. I mean you can believe what you want to believe. However, at least draw conclusions by looking at all the factual evidence that was actually upheld in a criminal court and be able to draw reasonable conclusions from them. And not base it off of 60 "I believe OJ did it because.." or "Nicole was scared of OJ" facts when Nicole herself denied being scared.

 

I hate when people, fed by media with little to no training in evidentiary or criminal proceedings or whose ratings depend on highly sensationzlied biased stories (Nancy Grace) assert "SO MUCH EVIDENCE THAT THIS HAPPENED," yet when asked what evidence that wasn't tainted, say, "well his son thought he did it at first.

The fact that they didn't make it into court.  If they would have found blood all over OJ's bathroom don't you think they would've presented it with full fledged pictures  

 

You don't have to buy the idea of the police planting evidence but you have to address it if you are going to credibly talk about the case.

It's a known fact that there was evidence & testimonials for reasons unknown didn't make it to trial, so that makes them not real? That's not enough. Hell most of the jury who came public did say hey think he committed the murders but that the procecution did a bad job presenting everything, which I agree with. Hell then theres also who say the jury didn't understand the meaning of most of the evidence because most didn't go to college. 

 

Not when the amount of things proving he did it are this heavily against him, you don't. If it were only a few "coincidences" I could see that being a buayble option but it's way too much that points to OJ did it, hell he lost the civil trial

My point of view on that is with it being after Rodney king, and those cops getting off, and being taught collectively as a people "The System is against you", for him to get away with murder, some viewed as 1 step closser to equality. That's how I see it, but Im a lil disgraced when I watch footage of the verdict and most of the shots of black people was like it's the best thing that ever happened to them.......a man just got away with murder......it wasn't like Casey Anthony where it wasn't beyond reasonable doubt, it was tooooo much evidence. and 1 set motive.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but I was watching a documentary on National Geographic called "The 90's". Anyway they said that OJ Simpsons acquittal was received well by black people because they felt like it was "payback" for the Rodney King verdict.

 

By payback; they probably mean validation of racial prejudice of the LAPD given that the lead detective lied on stand about using the n word and then was found to have used the n word, plead the fifth about planting evidence, and was later convicted of perjury.
